About this extension
Tired of shocked faces, giant arrows and ALL-CAPS thumbnails? Unclickbait shows you a frame from the middle of each YouTube video instead of the thumbnail made to get your click, so you can judge a video by what's actually in it.
- Works everywhere YouTube shows a thumbnail: home, search, the sidebar, playlists, Shorts and the player.
- No flash of the original: frames load before the page shows them.
- Falls back to the original thumbnail when a video has no frame yet (live streams, new uploads).
- One switch in the popup turns it off and on, instantly, in every open tab.
- Private by design: no account, no tracking, no data leaves your browser.
