- Rated 5 out of 5by Jambon, 5 days agoThis extension is great and has unique capabilities to automatically open a specific URL on click, I'd love to request a feature though.
Can there be a capability to change the extension icon? e.g. I use this to open proton mail in sidebar on click, I would just change the icon to the proton mail icon.
Also if we could change the sidebar header text that'd be amazing e.g. I would just make it say Proton mail rather than Universal sidebarDeveloper response
posted 5 days agoHello, that's a good idea for people who use the sidebar with a single site.
I've just added this option in version 2.1.0.
Remember to update the extension.
When you only have one favorite (like Proton Mail), an option appears in the settings: "Use the name and icon of … instead of Universal Sidebar". Once checked, the site's name and favicon replace those of Universal Sidebar, so "Proton Mail" with its icon, exactly as you wanted.
If it doesn’t work as expected, you can email me at contact@mrweb.fr. - Rated 5 out of 5by Raygen, 5 days agoDoing what Mozilla still hasn't delivered yet: pin websites to the sidebar. Perfect.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Nikitamce, 7 days agoGreat extension! I’d love to see the option to change the icon of the extension in the sidebar. The puzzle piece icon isn’t that great and might be intuitively confused with the list of extensions. Yes, I understand this request might seem a bit bold, but I really enjoy using this extension and would be glad if it were possible to change the icon — for example, by uploading a photo from my PC and so on.
p.s. developer fixed bug, thank youDeveloper response
posted 7 days agoHello, thank you for your review. I’m really glad to hear that. I originally created this extension for my own use, so it’s great to see that others find it useful too.
The puzzle icon was showing instead of the extension icon because of recent Firefox updates.
This has now been fixed in version 2.0.0, which also includes several new features. I hope you enjoy them. - Rated 5 out of 5by gfang, 2 months agofor some reasons, I can not see and edit "URLs in the sidebar" in the options.

posted 2 months agoHello,
Have you added any links?
“URLs in the sidebar” is useful for sorting them when you’ve added several.
You can send me an email at contact@mrweb.fr
with your username “gfang” so I can help you, or share some screenshots.
If there’s a bug, I’ll fix it. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 19743374, 4 months ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by Monkey Do, 7 months agoI'm switching over to this extension from the native Firefox AI Chatbot. Here I can add any chatbot I prefer, let alone any other web resource. Thank you for a simple, easy-to-use, and practical tool.
