URL to QR Code Generator by subhash

This Firefox extension turns any web link into a scannable QR code with a single click. When you are browsing the web on your computer and want to quickly send a page—like a news article, recipe, or video—to your smartphone, typing out long URLs manually is frustrating. This tool solves that problem instantly.

When you click the extension icon in your browser toolbar, a small, clean window pops up. Clicking the "Convert Current URL" button instantly reads the web address of your active tab and transforms it into a QR code right inside the same window. No extra tabs open, no files are downloaded, and no clutter is left behind on your device.

The generated QR code is specifically formatted to Square size (about 2 inches by 2 inches), making it large and clear enough for any mobile camera or scanner app to read in a fraction of a second, even from a distance or on lower-brightness screens.

Everything runs directly inside your browser without collecting, storing, or tracking any of your private browsing data. It does not require special account sign-ins or complex setup. Whether you want to quickly open a map location on your phone before heading out, transfer a shopping page to complete a purchase on mobile, or share a link with someone sitting nearby, this extension makes transferring web links between your computer and phone completely effortless.
