Désactive la mise à jour dans"plus".. - Rated 3 out of 5by inetbas, 8 years agoHello,
With every upgrade of FF X-notifier loses it config (accounts). There needs to be a auto-backup feature of the setting and accounts. A great 5-star app start losing it's star. I know due to Mozilla changes to FF :-( - Rated 3 out of 5by mac7131, 8 years agoThe new 4.0 just doesn't work with the updated Firefox. I installed the older version with 50.1.0 it working so far. I have also made sure that it won't update either options via add-on page. I disagree with developer that its scripts. The 3.5.23 has scripts too.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Can't know, 8 years agoinstall 3.5.23. then goto preferences and check update off.
4.X is cancer and will drive you nuts. - Rated 1 out of 5by H_Magnus, 8 years agoThat's all. This was one of my favorite add-ons before the most recent update.
- Rated 3 out of 5by 8924th, 8 years agoI've been using this addon for years now. With the exception of some updates wiping the logins, I was perfectly happy with it. However, as of the latest major update, I must shave off some stars.
I would please ask you to revert the controls back to the previous version, or in the very least add an option to continue using them. I very much preferred clicking the icon to open all my accounts which had unread emails, using middle-click to quickly scan and right click for options. Now i have to left click and navigate the context menu to do all three and I do not like it. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 12716657, 8 years agoPlease, bring back the right click menu. I rolled back to version 3.5.23 in the meantime. Thanks for this great addon.
- Rated 5 out of 5by TimR, 8 years agoIf like me you use x-notifier to keep all your email sign-ins in one place you were mortified to find that updating to ver 4 resulted in all your sign ins gone. All is not lost. Reinstall version 3.5.23 from
http://xnotifier.tobwithu.com/history.php?br=ff
and then your logins all reappear. Export them from options, and then you can import them to the latest version. I wish this had been better handled, but x-notifier is so critical I am giving another 5 star review.
Now is the time to send some love in the form of a contribution to the author. He deals with major crap so we don't have to.... This was our turn... - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 12713499, 8 years agoThis rating is for the Nov 2016 release. The prior release is 5 stars.
I don't like the new version because:
1. Mutliple hotmail accounts are broken. They take one to the Microsoft log in page. Pain. (Checked both in Chrome and in Firefox). I have two. So, one is greyed out and the other is displayed in red. The one I used last (through manual log in) gets greyed out and the other becomes red. Still, logging in is required for both.
2. The right click was removed with all its nice behavior. The new look is clunky and requires getting used to it.
Version 3 rocks. Version 4 is... ehhh... unusable.
Had to downgrade to version 3 to get 5 star performance.
If usability is restored, I will change the rating.
For my environment, it is not about Firefox since version 3 works fine in the latest Firefox. - Rated 5 out of 5by john macie, 8 years agoFirefox has done this to so many good addons. If I wanted security I'd get off the internet. Chrome addons are inferior in action, google has succeeded in nothing except sandboxing your personal info for themselves to feast on. FF is a memory hog and memory sieve, but it is a hell of a lot more aesthetic than chrome
- Rated 5 out of 5by captaingreek, 8 years agoGo here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/xnotifier/versions/
download version 3.5.23.
Then go to your add-ons, find it, and in its options there is the possibility to turn off automatic updates. So it will work just fine :) - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12574981, 8 years agoIf anyone has destroyed anything, that's Mozilla with their decision to drop XUL, not tobwithu. I am frustrated, too, but please, read his notes before deciding to give it a bad rating. Also be aware that there is an issue with black text on dark themes that has been posted in forums.
Re-installing 3.5.x automatically brings your old account settings back (logins, scripts, RSS, etc). - they're not lost, actually (make sure you disable automatic updates on the extension's "More" page).
While looking fwd to see scripting back (or a replacement) and Neo growing mature, I'll use 3.5 for as long as FFox allows it. (If you think it's time to say goodbye, it's maybe time to say goodbye to FFox... although I probably won't. Sad.) - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 12708746, 8 years agoEvery time I use CCleaner, I need to re-write all email adresses and passwords.
I use this addon since many years, but now I will cancel it ... and test an other one for messages - Rated 5 out of 5by KING OF COFFEE, 8 years agoI'm so sad , i have used xnotifier for about 6 years . the latest update 4.0 is awful and disappointing , can't get it work with my 8 accounts and I keep refreshing many times until get all my accounts logging in . Now it takes 4 ever and age to login to all accounts . I'm searching for alternatives. Good bey my sweaty . It's now a web-based and not an actual add-one i think so.
Developer's note

X-notifier 4.0 does not support user script because of the internal changes in Firefox.

It's ffox decision 2 destroy the xnotifier - Rated 2 out of 5by Daniel, 8 years agoThis was such a great add-on. But now it's very painful to check emails. It's good I suppose if you have 1 email account. But when you have 7 like I do this use to work seamlessly. If anyone is having any issues with the new update, simply install the old version 3.5.23. But in the future FireFox is going to make the old version stop working which will be said.
- Rated 1 out of 5by d_or, 8 years agoToo bad I have used this addon for years. I was not able to have the latest version work with more than one email address. Too bad since the added value of this addon is (was...) to be able to monitor and open simultaneously several inboxes.
Hopes it returns to normal quickly. - Rated 5 out of 5by moganu, 8 years agoHola la version 4 es malisima he tenido que volver la version 3.5
Primero en heramientas complementos desactivar actualizaciones automaticamente y luego volves a instalar x notifier 3.5 que va fenomenal un saludo a todos - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 12704161, 8 years agoI've been using this few years and it worked great for me. Now every time I close Firefox it clears out all of the data associated with my email accounts. To use it at all, I have to reconfigure it EVERY time I start Firefox. If it goes unfixed I'm removing it all together.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Ron, 8 years agoAfter setting everything up, it *used* to work okay and would check for email from my three different accounts. There were even options to check in folders for things that were automatically moved with filters.
However, the new version seems to have removed a lot of capabilities - it's now web-based instead of an actual add-on, and the most annoying thing - it upgraded automatically and cleared out all that information I'd originally set up. Maybe it works, maybe it doesn't. I'm not willing to spend the time AGAIN to configure my three email accounts. A huge change like this without porting the configuration data over to the new platform is inexcusable. As far as I saw, there wasn't even a notice given. It was two weeks before I realized it wasn't doing anything. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12136757, 8 years agoWorks with my isp email and zoho email without adding scripts.
- Rated 1 out of 5by paperebe, 8 years agoI was able to click once and all email accounts that had email would open in individual tabs. No more it seems. Now I have to click twice just to get in one email account. If you have two yahoo accounts it has trouble logging out of one and into the other...
Middle click use to refresh the new message count, now broken.
Right click no longer interacts with the addon button.
When things peak on functionality it seems they have to start intentionally removing and breaking things just to release something "new." - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 12701524, 8 years agoNEW VERSION IS TERRIBLE, I'M RETURNED TO THE OLD VERSION. DO NOT UPDATE WITHOUT FIX THESE PROBLEMS.
