YouTube No News does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data. It contains no analytics, telemetry, advertising, remote scripts, or external service connections.

The extension reads shelf headings in the YouTube page locally to decide which dedicated homepage shelves to hide. It does not save page content, video titles, viewing history, search terms, or account information.

The only stored value is the “Hide homepage news” on/off setting, saved locally in Firefox extension storage. It is not synced to an account or sent to a server. You can change it in the toolbar popup.

The extension runs only on https://www.youtube.com/ and does not initiate external network requests. It does not modify YouTube account settings or send recommendation feedback. YouTube itself continues to operate and make its own requests under its own privacy policy.

This policy applies to YouTube No News, not to YouTube, Firefox, or the Mozilla Add-ons website.
