I won't add a "default on" mode. That should not be needed - most sites do work fine without spoofing as Chrome, and doing a spoof by default will actually expose you to all kinds of breakage. In addition, the Web Compatibility team at Mozilla (of which I am part of!) wants to actively know about sites that DO require us to spoof as Chrome, which is why the addon itself provides two easy ways to report. A "default on" option would not be the right approach.

Thanks for the feedback about the visibility of the indicator. It's kinda hard to find the right balance here, but I have a couple of ideas to try to make it more visible if this comes up more frequently. I'll keep you in mind!

    Broken. Either the latest Firefox or Youtube changed something. But videos play for a bit and then stop and give an error something went wrong. I disabled Chrome Mask and everything is fine again.

    Didn't do much to fix anything, and then yesterday Google decided my browser isn't secure with this addon and logged me out of my gmail and youtube accounts. Only after removing this addon I was able to log back in.

    Great extension that solves the "unsupported browser" problem. Some websites still demand Chrome, and this mask saves the day in a second. Works perfectly without being overloaded with unnecessary settings. Highly recommended!

    I don't know how to rate it, I only tried it on Microsoft clipchamp, but it keeps saying that I have an unsupported browser. It wants either chrome or Microsoft edge.

    Unfortunately it made youtube subtitles not show up for me. Took a few days to realize this extension was the cause.
