Everything was fine until recently, the add-on started opening a new window with some DeepL add-on (no idea what's that) when I select a word and press Ctrl (to copy-paste it). Annoying, impossible to work. There is no such a shortcut in the settings, no idea how to fix it. Had to turn the add-on off.

When you set DeepL to translate the selected text, the DeepL website opens in a new window the first time you translate the selected text, if you keep the window open the next texts will be translated without changing tabs.
And in the extension settings there is an option to translate the selected text by pressing Ctrl twice, if you press Ctrl only once and this window is opening your keyboard may have a double click or something unusual is happening.

Great extension, would you make it available for Safari?
A nice improvement would be the possibility to switch easier the translation from one languge to another.

God bless this TWP extension for saving me the trouble of having to go out of my way to right click and translate each text. It can automatically carry out the translation on any webpage for the most part without you needing to go through selecting a text.

Looked at a bunch of different translation extensions and this is the only one that is lightweight, unintrusive, not based on a third party LLM, and still powerful enough to dynamically inline translate webpages. Honestly better than Firefox's native implementation.

They accidentally made "choose a language" option, choose what language it's translated TO, rather than from. So any page that has an English word, or a word that also happens to be in the English dictionary, cannot be translated by this.

Hands down best translate extension out there. Love the simple UI, I use it often on sites like youtube, twitter and it translates quickly. As it is fast I can translate live chats on streams too, which is very useful!
