Doesn't work anymore to block sites like Reddit from Google, Bing, or DuckDuckGo searches which was the whole point and reason for even using this addon/extension.

No longer works

Awful thing. Developer start take money from social garbages, so now it doesnt block such holes like Reddit, Facebook or Instagram, TikTok or any other social junk. And, SURPRISE! - I was installing it for blocking all that dumps. But now it tell me just no. O cant choose, I must have thems forcefully, because developer want money. Sometimes it doesnt work at all. Latest versions works by pure random: you may see toggle on, you may turn it on and off, but it wont work anyway and you cant block anything at all. Great, isnt it? Then, why I need this? I can see unblocked results without it, thanks, point was in blocking it. It was worked earlier and work normally, now its utterly useless. What for you breaking thing that was worked fine? I guess its a mystery of IT persons. Laziness push thems to broke fine things for fixing it again. Some day and maybe. So, I delete it and seek alternatives. Bye, bye, ublacklist. U get in my blacklist.

broken. won't filter google results by regex anymore

It worked until recently, now the block icon disappeared from Google All tab and previously blocked sites are visible. It still works on Images and Video tabs tho.

Doesn't function and the maker is too lazy to make software for other people. Keep your 25% finished projects to yourself please.

Used to work on google and DDG (though not in mobile browser for DDG). Now it updated and both "block this site" and "show blocked results" are gone.

Edit: apparently the last good version is 8.12.0. Everything after that is broken.

Now shows a dialog on every single site I visit asking to block the site. This is an awful change and constantly having to click into the add-ons menu to dismiss a dialog and make the notification dot go away ruins any sort of flow I had. If you're on an old version don't let it auto update, it was a great extension but not anymore.

it says that it's for a bunch of different search engines, but it's not working for most. i only use duckduckgo so i can't use it anymore. ps: i haven't tried mobile

I would love to give uBlacklist 5 stars but unfortunately the thing can't seem to decide when it will and will not work on startpage, my main search engine. When we open up a new tabfor the first time, it works as intended. If I search from within that particular tab (that is, if I have searched "chicken recipe" then decide to edit that search to "chicken soup recipe") it no longer works. Even if I go to the browser bar rather than the search engine bar.

This renders the thing pretty much useless to me. I do not find this particularly surprising, because 99% of everything involving the internet is garbage, but I do find it frustrating. So very, very Frustrating.

FURTHER EDIT: it appears that ublacklist, in addition to the above problem, only works for the specific url that they keep on their end. this means that using the startpage settings url (the one you can use instead of using a cookie to save user settings) does not register on ublacklist's end. As we all know, any measure the user takes to protect their online privacy must be met with resistance to dissuade them from continuing to deviate from the norm.

This behaves as if "Add rules blocking whole sites by default" is always on regardless of value. It's not possible to block specific pages, only entire sites.

This extension doesn't block network requests - it hides stuff in the search engine. The patterns don't work (yeah, they're set up right) - I always have to hide things in the search engine using the extension button. Wouldn't it be easier to just block it through a proxy?
