You are truly a scholar and a gentleman. First time any developer on the Firefox Add-On board actually responded to my review; but I am glad you are "alive" and came out of slumber to patch this. It is now beautiful and YouTube has a bad habit of recommending videos I have already watched MONTHS ago. Your GRAY overlay with WATCHED text is AWESOME; because I code while I listen \ watch YouTube, so this makes it easier for me to avoid realizing I am re-watching something TWO minutes in. We MUST stop these YouTube creators from dipping 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 100X for the same videos, hahaha... Thank you and now all we need is a way to auto-sync history across all our machines with a single account. I am too lazy for Manual Export\Import.... FIVE STARS !!!

Developer needs to update this add-on; but it is possible they have not tested it recently with Firefox, since it has not been updated for over a year. It is an AWESOME idea; but does not work correctly with Firefox 74.0. All thumbnails appear with a grey overlay above it with the text WATCHED in some cases. It is an obvious alignment \ overlay issue; so most likely YouTube "broke" it and this needs to be fixed ASAP. If this is fixed, then I will upgrade to FIVE stars; because it is needed, so now I am off to find another add-on.

Regarding your update with the question about syncing: the history should automatically be synced across computers as long as they are all logged into the same Youtube account.

- Unfortunately, the viewing date for many videos is set to the date of installation of the extension. Secondly, if you enter a word in the YouTube history search, the viewing dates of all the videos that appear in the search will be updated to the current date, even if they were viewed 10 years ago.

as of today it adds videos I didn't watch to watched list. I deleted the video with app refreshed and it shows i just watched it (a minute ago) when i didn't开发者回应
发布于 9 个月前Never hesitate to file an issue/bug on Github so we can look into this further [1]. Personally still working as expected for me but sometimes Youtube rolls out different versions to different users which makes it difficult to debug sometimes.

发布于 1 年前I just released version 4.7.1 with some small fixes, did this update start marking videos again on the main page by chance? If not, could you open an issue here [1] with some more details such that I can take a closer look? Thanks in advance!

[1] https://github.com/sniklaus/youtube-watchmarker/issues - This extension is great because you never click on a video that you have already seen. One thing that is not true is that it only works with the new YouTube user interface. Since YouTube changed the user interface, I've been using the YouTube Redux extension to get the old user interface back. I just don't like the fact that the comments are now on the right and there are suggestions for other videos below the video. The Watchmaker extension works perfectly with the YouTube Redux extension and everything runs smoothly, and I haven't noticed any problems. The YouTube Redux extension forces the previous user interface.

An in-browser "mark un-played" button would be helpful, as it is removing play marks from a text-only list is more work than it's worth for me.
Edit to add: Actually an option to have the extension mark a video as played only when the progress bar hits a certain threshold (100%, 95%, etc) would be ideal开发者回应
发布于 1 年前Thank you for the feedback! You are not alone with this, you can find similar suggestions in the Github project [1, 2] but I am afraid that I don't know if/when I will be able to implement those, sorry!
