(Works well for me so far. It could be because I'm on Desktop Firefox browser. Glad that there's an extension for fire fox.)

    Only hides the AI result box, but doesn't prevent it from generating the response.

    So far, this is working exactly as I expected.
    In case I have an issue with this add-on, I will contact its author directly, and not hijack/abuse this comment section for that.

    I sometimes use Google as a fallback in case other search engines fail to find what I'm looking for, and the AI results, while hilarious, got annoying quickly because of their uselessness. This add-on is a real lifesaver in that regard.

    It does briefly show the AI for like a split second before it disappears (either it loading, or the actual result itself,) but, hey, it does the job.

    I would actually love it if this worked on more than just google search. Personally I use duckduckgo more and though their AI encroachment isn't as annoying as google's it would be great if it just removed AI integrations across the web.

    Does not work. I'm still seeing AI Overview answers under the "People also ask" section. Google should really just provide a toggle for this garbage to be turned off so we don't have to use 3rd party extensions in the first place.

    What can I say? It works! Now, If only there was an add on to remove AI generated images from Google searches....

    Worked as intended for me. There is a fraction of a second in which I saw the AI summary vanish, but that is still less annoying than before.

    This is fixable. You probably don't have permissions for this add-on configured correctly.

    To fix:
    1. Head to Google (google.com)
    2. Click on the Extensions button to the right of your URL bar (the button looks like a puzzle piece)
    3. Right-click on this extension's icon
    4. Change the "Extension can read and change data" setting to "Always Allow"
    5. Refresh the page
    6. Extension will now work
