I have had a few reports of this all on the same day - it seems like ChatGPT made some big changes that day, that were unrelated to the extension. Those problems should be resolved for some time now.

On top of that I wanted to let you know that I just updated the extension to version 4 - adding some new features like full-chat search using Ctrl + F (even messages not currently visible can be found now!), a feature to load all messages at once while staying fast, so you can scroll the entire chat - And a feature to bring back the prompt navigator that ChatGPT recently disabled for long chats.

Hi Jimmy, this claim isn't accurate, and I want to address it directly for anyone reading.

Speed Booster for ChatGPT does not communicate with any external servers. It runs entirely locally in your browser: it optimises the ChatGPT rendering of messages in memory using WebAssembly, and never sends any data anywhere. There is no backend, no analytics, and no telemetry.

If you saw unexpected network requests, they were almost certainly from ChatGPT itself or another extension. You're welcome to inspect the network traffic — you won't find any requests to non-ChatGPT servers.

I take privacy seriously and would never build something that handles user data carelessly. If you'd like to discuss further, feel free to reach out directly.
