发布于 3 年前Thank you for your feedback, we take it very seriously, but can reassure you that the DeepL Firefox extension does not read all content from websites you visit. DeepL only processes content that you actively mark and submit to us for translation or text improvement by clicking on the DeepL icon (default setting). Only if you have activated the ‘Full Page Translation’ feature, the websites you visit are automatically translated without any further action on your part. Of course, it is possible to exclude individual website from Full Page Translation in the settings if you like.

Also, the language of the extension can't be changed. - after a long surfing and browsing session the add-on starts using a lot of ram which it doesn't free itself and cannot be freed other than deactivating the add-on or restarting the browser. this is annoying, because it starts slowing down the whole system. it took me a long while to figure out what's going on; i started realizing in the processes tab, that my extension's / add-on's ram usage is growing and growing over time - even above 1GB (!). after i deactivated the add-on, the memory was freed again. this memory related bug needs to be solved by the developer urgently.

Nur beim Übersetzen von WordPress-Beiträgen im Gutenberg-Editor erscheint es nicht mehr. Das hat aber früher mal funktioniert. Erweiterung deaktiviert und schon ist wieder Ruhe eingekehrt.
That DeepL icon keeps popping up in the foreground when you don’t need it at all. It only stops appearing when translating WordPress posts in the Gutenberg editor. But that used to work. I deactivated the extension and everything’s back to normal.
