* I've tested the extension under Ubuntu 18.04 LTS and it works fine. Unfortunately, I don't have an Arch system for testing.
* It looks like it's not allowed for web extensions to access locally stored files which makes it difficult to implement an option for choosing a sound file. I'm open for any tips on this topic because I'd like to see this feature as well.
* Unfortunately, Firefox doesn't allow web extensions to open the about:downloads page at the moment.
* Since version 1.4 it's possible to setup a different text for failed downloads. Default is "Download failed". I'm thinking about adding a different sound for in the next version.

- 评分 4 / 5来自 Dan Harkless， 1 年前Works great, unlike the Noise extension, which I loved back in the pre-WebExtension days, but which I've never been able to get to make any sounds, using the modern WE version.
Kind of a bummer, though, that you can't customize your own sound (I don't want to use voices).
Also, it would be really nice if you would offer the option (like Noise, when it works) to set up a Failed Download sound that's different from the Successful Download sound, and make both of them optional (I would generally prefer to only use a Failed sound, not a Successful one). - 评分 1 / 5来自 Firefox 用户 17730893， 3 年前This used to work up until recently. Now, no matter which english (US) male voice I choose, it only plays the same robotic female voice.
