first, this extension asks you to upgrade to pro at a fee to start downloading audio streams in 256kbps mp3. secondly, clicking on download as .mp4 forces you to install a native extension that corrupts your windows installation (tested in x64 win10). even after recovering from the corruption and reinstalling with a clean boot, the native extension still forces you on its page when you click on download as .mp4.

all in all, the worst extension i've ever come across. 1click youtube download works far better in all res, hell, even lets you download in 1080p.

The Easy Youtube Video Downloader release notes say, "Many users are still using OLD design and do not know how to get the NEW Youtube layout, this update suggests solution to FIX this for old layout users." While I'm sure that would be helpful to some users, there's another reason why users are still using the old design. They simply don't like the new one.

In any case, YouTube is auto-injecting "?disable_polymer=1" into the URL of a user's _Video_ page. This is triggering Easy Youtube Video Downloader to display a red warning dialog box informing the user that Easy Youtube Video Downloader is not compatible. Not compatible with what, static thumbnail images on a page that Easy Youtube Video Downloader should have ignored?

Whether from an acknowledgment checkbox, from "Options" or from "About: Config"; it would have been extremely useful to be able to disable further compatibility checking.

Aside from the two issues mentioned above, the add-on works as described.

Removed one star for false-positive compatibility warning on non-video page and removed one star for missing option to eliminate irritant.

This is easily the easiest and most efficient Downloader out there right now and ever!
