Dishita does it again. Within days of the addon failing due to Youtube getting smart, a patch was issued followed very quickly by a full re-write. Absolutely amazing piece of software, and service is the best.
I have used this addon now for several years, and rarely for me, donated to help keep this addon going. The addon download button is embedded in the Youtube page you have open, and you have a choice of formats for the download. It is VERY quick, no set up, no fiddling about with URLs, just a couple of clicks and you've got it. I was really bugged when the new Youtube format arrived, but next to no time, new version available. Cannot be beaten for anything.
I have no association with the author other than being a very satisfied customer.

I've been very pleased with this add-on as it makes it easy to grab clips/videos as I am discovering them...much easier than other downloaders.

Does what it says on the box quickly, quietly and, above all, reliably.

I've tried finding ways to download in 1080p for a while now and this is the only add-on that works. Yeah, it cost a few bucks to use the PRO mode but d*mn if it isn't worth it.

I signed-up for a Mozilla account just so I could leave my review of appreciation for this valuable add-on. Even the low-tech users for our church use this tool widely and successfully.

This is truly an easy way to save a Youtube video to your computer. This is the free tool our church uses to save worship music videos for off-line and ad-free playing. You do have to donate some amount of your choosing ($10 or more) to get the highest (1080p) available option, but what a bargain for such a useful tool.

I can put it simply: the downloader works. Period.
This is what you see.
But there´s more, things you don´t see at first glance...
There are many downloaders, All of them work. Until some circumstances change - and downloader crashes.
Game over!
But - not for this one.... The invisible hand behind this downloader notices any crash, finds a solution, and repairs your downloader - even if you don´t notice that.
Result: it works on and on and on...
.... and all this for free. Isn´t that nice? A tiny little test for the after-capitalism-world.
So, everyone with no money at hand can get the downloader.
But those of us who have some money - should keep the door to the future world open - and donate some for our invisible hand.

I've tried many video downloaders. This one is one of the few that really works, especially with the new Youtube

Incredibly effective, regularly updated and does exactly what it says on the label. This one should be automatically bundled with firefox et al! Donated again because the guy deserves it. The speed with which he fixes Youtube link issues is awesome. Definitely a must have! Edit. Still using this because it's the most efficient YT downloader available, Love IT!

It does what it promises. And that's something not to sneeze at. No flaws, no gimmicks, it's the real deal. Pro version is highly recommended!

After communicating with the developer after writing my previous review, I was now able to download in 1080p with the PRO upgrade. Got confused during that time, but I'm now glad it's working for me!

Excellent add-on. I've used it successfully for my downloading needs and it's perfect. Any time there's a bug because of a new YouTube layout, assistance from the add-on creator/coder has been prompt. And consistent -- I've needed help several times over the years and I always heard back within a day. Highly recommended.
