Not only for the Image Search itself, but mainly for the "Open Image" function.
The Open Image feature should be an extension of its own.
No exaggeration, it's probably the one I use the most daily, of all extensions or native features on Firefox!

发布于 1 年前Hi, I'm happy you find the extension useful! You could also experiment with the options listed below to extract potentially larger versions of the image from the source code of the page. These options are not enabled by default because it takes a bit longer to download all variants of the selected image.

发布于 2 个月前It's a new security feature in Firefox 153, you now need to give file URL access to the extension to continue searching with local images opened in a tab.
Please go to about:addons, click on Search by Image to open the extension's details and visit the "Permissions and data" tab to find the optional permission. The relevant permission is "Access local files on your computer", which is poorly named in my opinion, and will surely confuse and alarm users.
The same permission is named "Allow access to file URLs" in Chrome, which is much less vague and alarming.
