版本 0.49.0
发布于 2026年9月16日 - 229.08 KB适用于 firefox 140.0 及更高版本, android 142.0 及更高版本0.49.0 — the reply box, corrected
Fixed: 0.48.0 said it had removed the way a save could lose your draft. It had removed one and left another: a save could report success, post nothing, and close the form with your text gone. Sheddit had been accepting Reddit's box going empty as proof of a post — which is also what the box looks like when Reddit quietly rejected the text. Only your comment actually appearing counts now; if it hasn't in time, the draft stays.
Fixed: a reply with a blank line in it was always reported as failing, even when it went in perfectly, and then written into Reddit's box a second time.
Fixed: Sheddit could type into its own reply box instead of Reddit's, doubling your draft — measured twice. It now only uses the browser's typing command when Reddit's editor verifiably has the cursor.
Why the tests missed it: the fixture posted its pretend comment under the wrong name, so every reply test had been passing on the same weak signal that failed live.
Known: finding the Reply button on a comment is unreliable; one of three saves on the same comment could not find it at all. Needs a reading before it gets a fix.
0.48.0 — the signed-in reply box
Fixed: a fault that could have posted an empty comment in your name. Sheddit puts your draft into Reddit's own box and presses Reddit's own button; it checked the text had arrived by reading the box back immediately, before Reddit's editor had accepted or rejected it — so text about to be discarded still read as present, and that reading authorised pressing post. It now waits to see the text stay. Your draft was never at risk.
Fixed: the wrong step was blamed every time. Reddit ships its comment box collapsed and builds the editor only when you click it; Sheddit could not tell that from an open box, so it reported "could not put the text into Reddit's reply box" about a box that had never opened.
Fixed: when Sheddit hands you to Reddit's own box it hides its own layout — and the sentence saying where your draft went was written into that layout. It now appears in the bar beside "← back to sheddit" too.
Changed: it tells you the thing that works. Reddit opens that box only for a real click and an extension's does not count — but yours does, and it stays open: click Reddit's box once, press "← back to sheddit", save again.源代码遵循 仅 GNU 通用公共许可证 v3.0 发布

版本 0.47.0
发布于 2026年9月14日 - 224.5 KB适用于 firefox 140.0 及更高版本, android 142.0 及更高版本0.47.0 — what a logged-out session on live Reddit found
Fixed: clicking an arrow while logged out moved the score and lit the arrow without casting anything, and the wrong number stayed until you reloaded. Sheddit forwards votes to Reddit's own button rather than making requests itself, and treated that button's presence as proof you were signed in — Reddit shows it to everyone now. A vote is only shown as cast where something can answer for it; otherwise the arrow says you are not logged in.
Fixed: changing pages emptied the screen until the next one arrived — five seconds of nothing on a live click, with the browser too busy to draw a replacement. The page you were reading stays up until the new one is ready.
Fixed: an image on a comments page drew at full height and pushed the whole comment tree below the fold. Capped against the window now.
Fixed: share was a link to the post's own page, so on a comments page it went where you already were. It opens a box with the link in it, as old reddit did.
Fixed: a profile Reddit hides said "has nothing on this tab", which reads as Sheddit failing rather than as Reddit's answer.
Fixed: posts keeping their picture URL in a responsive image set lost their thumbnails, leaving gaps down a listing.
Known: load more can stick on some listings. See the changelog.
0.46.0 — comment voting works
Fixed: voting on a comment. 0.45.0 said this could not be done from here; that was wrong. Reddit builds a comment's vote buttons only when the comment has a position on screen, and the stylesheet that hides Reddit's own copy of the page — kept in the document because votes and replies go to Reddit's own controls — was also flattening it to a single pixel. One rule, two effects, and only the hiding was wanted. The copy is hidden the same four ways and keeps its dimensions now, and clicking a comment arrow brings the row it needs into view first. Screen readers still get one copy of the page, not two, and your place in a thread does not move when you vote.
Fixed: replying to a comment no longer takes you to Reddit's own page to finish. Reply sits in the same part of Reddit's page and was missing for the same reason; it is resolved in place now, so an ordinary reply is posted from Sheddit's box. Carrying your draft into Reddit's composer is still the fallback if something else goes wrong.
0.45.0 — the reply box takes typing, and a dead arrow admits it
Fixed: you could not type into Sheddit's reply box, and the keystrokes went to Reddit as keyboard shortcuts instead — h hid the post you were replying to, and one key navigated away and took the draft with it. Reddit's shortcut handler did not recognise our box as somewhere text goes, so it treated every key as a command and cancelled the typing. Keys inside Sheddit's own boxes no longer reach it.
Fixed: voting on a comment was a silent no-op — the arrow did not light, the score did not move, and nothing said why.源代码遵循 仅 GNU 通用公共许可证 v3.0 发布
版本 0.42.0
发布于 2026年9月9日 - 203.88 KB适用于 firefox 140.0 及更高版本, android 142.0 及更高版本0.42.0 — the account corner opens
Added: the avatar and your name are a button now, opening a menu of Reddit's own account pages — my profile, saved, messages, preferences — ending in log out. Logging out presses Reddit's own control rather than building a request; if it cannot find it, Reddit's menu is shown instead so the button is one visible click away.
Added: logged out, the corner says logged out and links to Reddit's login page. It is the only login affordance in the extension, it never nags, and the whole corner disappears if you turn the account setting off.
0.41.0 — the header says who you are
Added: an account corner at the far right of the header, where old reddit kept it. Sheddit used to say "logged in" beside the theme buttons, which read as a caption on the theme bar; this is the answer to 'does it know I'm signed in?' in the place people have looked for a decade.
0.40.0 — galleries read one picture at a time
Changed: a gallery is a slideshow — one frame on screen with a ‹ 2 of 6 › control under it, in place of the sideways-scrolling row. The box stays the size of one picture however many frames the post has, so a long gallery no longer pushes the comments off the bottom of the page, and only the frame you are looking at is downloaded.
0.39.0 — pictures at the size they were uploaded
Fixed: a post's picture rendered at 640px when a full-size copy was sitting in the same page. Reddit offers the original alongside smaller resizes, and only the resizes state a width — so the original scored nothing and lost to them.
0.38.0 — galleries show every picture
Fixed: a gallery post rendered only its first image. Reddit keeps the other frames in an attribute it fills in when its own carousel advances — which never happens here, since Sheddit replaces that carousel. Every frame is read straight from the page now.
Changed: a gallery's frames sit in one sideways-scrolling row instead of stacking down the page.源代码遵循 仅 GNU 通用公共许可证 v3.0 发布
