So far excellent. Simple and seems reliable (only used for a day). I would suggest the following if it didn't impact stability:
-Allow easier selection of only one group to export (export option next to each group instead of higher level menu?). It took me a while to find the export button.
-Keep the chosen export format between exports or firefox sessions (or alternatively, let the user select the preferred export format in the settings)
-On first use after install, Default setting when pressing the stash button should be to open the side bar menu. When learning a new add on, its always a bit worrisome when it starts to stash or store hundreds of tabs when you first press the menu bar button. Users can change the option once familiar and comfortable with the add-on.
-Add-on should have option to add to stash without closing or hiding the tabs. I could find no such option.

I did have the add-on crash while storing tabs for the first time, but the feed back on the crash was very well done, front and centre on the side bar so I realized what had happened, and the ability of the app to recover from the crash without losing data was impressive for an add-on.

The add-on appears to run very efficiently, isn't trying to do too much, transparent without doing something in the background without showing it's progress like so many other tab add-ons which take over the computer without showing the progress or if they're stalled or crashed.

Love the colours on the buttons giving an idea of how critical a task is (white, yellow, red). Love the undo ability in case I made a mistake.

Excellent design. Good job so far. Love the simplicity. Still a learning curve, but easier than most tab add-ons.

Thank you very much for the thoughtful review! I'm glad to hear you've had a good first impression, though I'm sorry to hear you hit a crash (even if the feedback was clear). If it happens again, please do report it on GitHub so that I can track it down—I try very hard to make sure users never have to see that notification. :)

Thanks also for the suggestions—I'll be sure to keep them in mind! I agree the default setting of "stash and show the UI" can be a bit unsettling for new users and I do plan to change it in the future. To your point about adding to the stash without closing tabs—you can do this by holding the Alt (or Option) key when clicking the "Stash" button.

I wish the native FF tab sync worked this well from the get-go, but this add-in picks up perfectly where the devs left off. I foresee getting a lot of use out of this.

If I had one request, it would be a checkbox in Preferences to make keeping tabs open when you stash them the default (instead of needing to hold Alt), but that's me.

Thanks for the kind words! I'm really glad Tab Stash has been working well for you. I think there's already an open feature request on GitHub for swapping Alt and not-Alt when stashing, but if there isn't already, feel free to make one and I'll keep it in mind!

Great extension. I use two different tab groups daily in my workflow, and it handles my routine quite well.

I saw in a previous review response that tab group integration is already in the works. Being able to open a root folder and have all nested subfolders restored as tab groups would make nested setups a lot more practical.

A couple of small suggestions if you ever look into minor UI tweaks: it would be great to have a way to hide unused action buttons on specific groups (just leaving the restore button to reduce visual clutter), and maybe an option to bind a keyboard shortcut to open a specific group directly.

I'm happy to say that tab group integration is available in 3.5, and you can get pretty close to what you describe with drag-and-drop, by dragging the parent group into the window. I hope to find ways of improving on this further in future releases, but hopefully that helps you right now. :)

Great add-on! The only thing missing for me is a "stash tabs to the right/left" function. I don't always want to stash every tab, and it can be a hassle to choose specific ones or lift tabs back out if i have a lot open.

Thanks, I'm glad you found it useful! Do note you can Shift+Click on the tabs' icons to select multiple tabs at once, which I know isn't quite as tailored as something like "Stash to the Left/Right", but I hope it helps nonetheless!

Super useful extension for long term storage of links without having to go through the bookmarks friction. Very intuitive to use and one of the few extensions I use day to day!

Few keyboard shortcuts available. No shortcut to position the cursor in the search field. Additionally, while typing a search term, the items in the folders are not displayed.

Nice extension, one issue, in the url bar the icon always stays dark, so it becomes invisible in dark theme. The color of icon changes in sidebar and in extension icon as well.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean—Tab Stash will allow you to stash duplicates if you explicitly select the tabs you want to stash. However, feel free to open an issue on GitHub if you'd like to discuss further!

Best alternative I've found so far for having workspaces in Firefox. It can sync between devices too since it uses bookmarks!

Расширение крутое и имеет куча возможностой взаимодействия с вкладками и их экспортом и сохранением. Получше tabs outliner из гугл хром. Добавьте пожалуйста русский язык и расширение будет на 6 звёзд))

It's a wonderful add-on. It has a very powerful interface that offers great flexibility.

Implementing the data store in the form of bookmarks is a great idea. It’s a major help in a world where no browser yet understands the concept of ubiquity, the importance of having a robust implementation of workspaces that allow us to maintain consistency across the many computers we might use.

I would just appreciate if it were able to save and restore the pinned status of the tabs. The data layer allows for this; Firefox bookmarks let you assign a tag like “*Pinned”, which in my opinion would be the ideal and most simple way to store this attribute.

It would also be great if we could open a Tab Stash group as a Firefox tab group, or even open a TS group in FF along with its sub-groups (at least the top-level ones; in this regard, TS far surpasses the capabilities of FF tab grouping), accurately reflecting this “tree” structure.

If these features exist, I haven't been able to find them.

In any case, it's fantastic; the kind of add-on you'll find hard to do without once you start using it. Thanks so much, Josh.

Thank you for the thoughtful and kind words! I really appreciate you taking the time to write this up.

Regarding the pinned status, unfortunately Firefox does not expose any APIs for extensions to use to edit tags and keywords—there's no way for me to store metadata along with a bookmark outside its URL and title. I wish there were because there is a lot more that could be done, but this is unfortunately not an option.

Regarding tab groups, I agree with you—it's a feature I'm actively working on but isn't ready yet. Unfortunately, it's taking me quite a long time due to life getting in the way, and due to the fact that it is a major change to how Tab Stash works internally and how it communicates with Firefox. I also want to make sure I get the feature right and that it doesn't feel bolted-on to how the extension works. So it may take a while longer yet, but it'll happen eventually!
