This is a great add-on for complex setups.
I'm using a pathological number of FF windows, scatter among 12 desktops for various topics. It helps me to organize and manage this state better than ever.
While at it, and since I suffer from a session store issue of FF https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=372650 since a long time, I created a small tool, that allows me to store and restore the FF session state using the static titles of this add-on:

- It works in general, I started to use it when Firefox changed its sorting algorithm in Windows dropdown menu on macos (around version 108 in 2023). It was useful that time. It also works on linux, but it is not that useful. It's a pity the extension is not able to rename windows in "recently closed windows" tab about:firefoxview#opentabs Although this may happen due to inconsitency in Firefox windows naming as mentioned in github.com/tpamula/webextension-window-titler/issues/43
Anyway, the extension is not developed for few years. - 评分 4 / 5来自 CodeIcannot， 5 个月前The way this addon names/"titles" open Firefox windows feels a bit janky - it just adds a user-defined string of text to each tab - but the end resullt is better than nothing. The names also don't get added to, say, screenshots of webpages, which is great.

I now have three times more browser windows due to this horrible decision, and this addon makes it far easier to keep track of what they are for. It gets four stars because the title occasionally disappears after a browser restart.

- Works great on Mac, and Linux.
For those having issues accessing the shortcut because it conflicts with one previously set by your OS, or another extension, you can manage the shortcuts yourself - just go to your extensions page, click on the cogwheel (tools for all add-ons), and then select the "Manage Extensions Shortcut"
For those who don't see the toolbar icon, remember it may be hidden in the extensions icon (puzzle piece), if you haven't already opted to pin Window Titler to the toolbar. - 评分 1 / 5来自 Firefox 用户 15981283， 2 年前tl;dr: does not work on Linux
Longer version: the two ways to activate this add-on do not work:
Toolbar button (t icon) -- does not appear when Firefox is running (Debian Linux with KDE).
Keyboard shortcut (Ctrl-Alt-T) that invokes Window Titler is already reserved to invoke the prefered Terminal App on most (probably all) version of Linux.
