Dieses Addon sendet ALLE ihre Internet-Aufrufe (also alle angesurften Webseiten) an WOT. In der Vergangenheit hat WOT diese Daten (mit Namen der Personen) verkauft. --- Wer garantiert und kontrolliert jetzt das Verhalten der Firma ? Niemand. Das Privacy-Versprechen wurde schon einmal gebrochen, ohne Kontrolle von 3. Seite ist das nicht wirklich glaubwürdig. --- Dazu kommt: vor Scriptviren (Hauptursache für Trojaner heutzutage) schützt das Tool in keinster Weise, es warnt nur vor politisch nicht korrekten Seiten, vor unliebsamen Informationen. Die einzeiligen Jubelmeldungen mit 5 Sternen hier kommen von Leuten die sich praktisch NUR zu diesem Addon zu Wort meldeten. Ein Schelm wer dabei Böses denkt ;) --- Das sollte man wissen wenn man das Teil benutzt. Es bleibt die Frage wozu dieses Addon wirklich gut ist.

    This has not been updated in over a year. About 15 months. 2024 vs 2026 A lot has happened in browser technology in the last year.

    I narrowed down super slow response times to this addon. I have other things and this is the only one slowing it down. From nearly instant responses to 8+ seconds. 8 seconds is a long time. I believe it was at least 30 seconds when I started trying to narrow down the issue. Yes even for a simple site.

    I am switching over to Eset which offers more than simple a site review (NOT that I want WOT to offer more. Focus on the thing you CAN be good at).

    I must say that I really like that with WOT you the user can also issue reviews and star ratings. Especially given that they often differ from the WOT's assessment.

    If you didn't take forever to load I'd prefer you over most.

    Yes, I removed a ALL extensions when testing for the poor performer. So, no, its not just a conflict between extensions.
