• Attractive GNU General Public License version 2. This means this add-on is owned and supported by a friendly not-for-profit community. Instead of a for-profit corporation. And more secure because its full code is publicly available for review.
• Easily and quickly set default zoom either per-site or per-tab
• Fast and responsive
• Lots of configurable options
• Add-on can be activated or deactivated without restarting Firefox
• Implemented using the new WebExtensions API. Which is the future of add-ons.
• Available for both Firefox and Chrome with identical functions and user interfaces. So one easier learning curve :)

• Friendly and fast support from author
The bad
• After you click on the toolbar button, the text on the following 3 buttons overlap the buttons: “Reset”, “Auto”, “Reset”. Which make those 3 buttons both hard to see and use. But the buttons are still usable. The author said there is a fix in progress to resolve that.
Note
• This is now fixed with version 6.3+. With the previous version 6.2 at “about:addons” under the add-on “Preferences” page the location of the configuration of options might be hard to find for newcomers. Because to find those the user has to scroll all the way under the very long add-on description text :( In my case, after an initial configuration I seldom need to change those configurations though. So it is still usable :) I suggest to keep the add-on description text concise. And move the long details to a webpage. Such as the add-on homepage at https://addons.mozilla.org
Then add link(s) from the add-on “Preferences” page to the add-on homepage. I understand Mozilla made a poor usability choice by moving the configuration to that location. But I’m assuming the developer has control over the lenght of the text and can add URL into that description of the add-on “Preferences” page? Any other suggestion to resolve this challenge?

so, to modify a simple number (default zoom level), i have to make 6-7 different mouse clicks in different menu's?

Just 'Ctrl+click' on the zoom 'Reset' button and this will set the default zoom level to the currently displayed zoom level. 开发者回应
发布于 9 年前The 'AutoFit' button does a one-off fit-to-width operation that automatically resizes the page contents to fit the page width.
There is an option to automatically apply AutoFit every time a page is loaded and when the browser window is resized. This option is called 'Apply AutoFit zoom instead of default zoom level'.- For some odd reason, this addon will not automatically scale images to fit within the window; it makes them huge when I want ALL of them to fit and it will not quit.
It's like the "autofit" function doesn't even work. I have to resize all the pictures BY HAND.
Otherwise, this is a worthy replacement for the almighty "Zoom Page" addon (which had an autofit function that actually worked AUTOMATICALLY).开发者回应

I was just about to uninstall add on because I could find no obvious way to set the default zoom level. Not one word of explanation is offered--just endless and (for me) pointless discussions about what the add on could do. Very strange.
By reading the reviews I found some hints on how to set the default level and was able to make the desired zoom adjustment.
The product is excellent. The instructions for busy people are horrendously bad. Do something about it if you want to have success.开发者回应
发布于 9 年前This issue is caused by Mozilla's design, not by Zoom Page WE.
Once you have discovered how to access the Options dialog, then setting the required options is very simple.
For some bizarre reason, Mozilla have decided to place the Options dialog (for add-ons that use the new WebExtensions API's) at the end of the add-on description page. - New, 20210608:
Your help states:
Zoom Page WE is implemented using the new WebExtensions API and is available for both Firefox and Chrome with identical functions and user interfaces.
I find this slightly incorrect. When I export per-site option in FF, the filetype is .TXT. From Chrome, the filetype is .JSON.
Not such a problem, but, I can't import the FF per-site options to CHROME, even if I change the filetype to .JSON
The onlyi thing I see may be a problem is the final statement from FF is
"subsitetypes":{},
}
It has a trailing comma, but when I export from Chrome there is none.
Can I import FF options into Chrome and how?

Old:
I justinstalled Zoom Page WE. (getting away from Zoom Page).
It breaks the following page:
https://www.ebay.com/dsc/Fiesta-Vintage/87/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=&LH_TitleDesc=1&_sop=10
I get the "unresponsive script" dialog. Does it consistently. I disable ZoompageWE and the page refreshes fine.
Running FF 52.4.0 EST... win 7 Pro, 32 bit
Addition, 10/4: Maybe I'm doing something wrong, But, it looks like I can not make more than one review. I wanted to list each problem in a separate review, but it looks like Mozilla deletes a previous review when I make a new one. So, communicating problems with reviews is problematic.
My second problem:
I set up the options to define customized zoom amounts(30, 40 50, etc) . I also set the Zoom In/Out to fixed steps of 4%.
using CTRL+ and CTRL- makes the zoom amount change by the "customized zoom amounts". Using the drop down menu + and - makes the zoom amounts change by the "In/Out fixed steps" amounts.
a. This is not documented
b. This is clumsy. That is, using the drop down menu is clumsy just to change a zoom amount. Any time I have to pick up the mouse and use it I am not happy. It would be perfect if I could define a keyboard shortcut for the two zoom by In/Out fixed amount functions. Or, just have them defined (maybe ctrl 11 and ctrl 12 or anything besides the mouse).开发者回应
发布于 9 年前The unresponsive script problem is fixed in Zoom Page WE 6.2.
With regards to the Ctrl+- and Ctrl++ keyboard shortcuts, iIt depends on whether the page contents are focused or something else (e.g. the address bar) is focused.
If the page contents are focused, then Ctrl+0, Ctrl+- & Ctrl++ will use the user-defined zoom levels or zoom step.
If something else (e.g. the address bar) is focused, then Ctrl+0, Ctrl+- & Ctrl++ will use the standard Firefox zoom levels. - Just upgraded to this version this morning. I knew how to access the option menu because I had use the previous version that worked on earlier version of Firefox. But when I saw the option dialog box at the bottom of the option page I thought it was an image of the menu not the actual option menu. Sent email to the developer who responded within a minute of sending him a support email. All is well.

发布于 9 年前The pages shown by the 'More' link and the 'Options' (or 'Preferences') button are identical. The Zoom Page WE Options are at the bottom of the page. That is how Mozilla has designed it!- 评分 1 / 5来自 Firefox User, 9 年前All the latest reviews are correct.
Limited functionality - I don't have time or patience to re-zoom every page, every time I reload it.
Set Zoom level once, and forget it. Should be that simple.

I found the options, thank you.
But why are they so hidden? You should make a shortcut to the options when you click the button in the add-on bar.
Aside from that, all is good.开发者回应

- If the Firefox menu bar is not visible, press F10 to show the menu bar.
- On the Firefox menu bar, click on 'Tools' and then click on 'Add-ons', to show the Add-ons Manager.
- In the Add-ons Manager, click on the 'Extensions' tab, to show a list of all installed add-ons.
- Now click on the Zoom Page WE 'Options' button, to show the Zoom Page WE description page.
- Now scroll to the bottom of the description page, where you will see the ‘Zoom Page WE Options’ dialog.
To set the Default Zoom Level for all pages:
- In the ‘Zoom Page WE Options’ dialog, click on the ‘Zoom Levels & Font Size’ tab.
- Change the value in the ‘Default Levels (%): Full’ box from ‘100’ to your preferred default zoom level.
- Click on the ‘Save’ button to save the option settings. - 评分 1 / 5来自 Firefox 用户 12303357, 9 年前having to click on it and then choose is clumsy. The plus and Minus for zoom should be visible without having to open it.

发布于 9 年前It is not possible to zoom in/out by scrolling over the toolbar button, because the WebExtensions APIs do not provide a listener for these scroll events.
However, you can zoom in/out by scrolling over the button popup or by Ctrl+scrolling over the page contents.- 评分 4 / 5来自 Firefox 用户 13306618, 9 年前A very useful add-on, helps my ageing eyes to read on a Surface screen.
I feel the ability to set a default zoom should be part of FF out-of-the-box as it is in MS Edge, but this app nicely fills that gap.
One weird thing is that the 'Options' and 'More' screens (available from the FF Extensions page) show the same information. I expected the 'Options' page just to show the options settings without repeating the details from the 'More' screen and vice versa. As it is now they seem to be identical.开发者回应
发布于 9 年前The 'More' link and 'Options' button in the Add-ons Manager do show the same information.
To access the Zoom Page WE options you must scroll to the bottom of either page.
This is a feature of Firefox and applies to all WebExtensions add-ons. It would have been more logical if the 'Options' button only showed the add-on options. 开发者回应

- 评分 5 / 5来自 Firefox 用户 13285367, 9 年前Works perfectly fine for me :)
Exactly what I was looking for
Thanks - Setting a minimum font size considerably slows down typing inside a search box with autocomplete. I'll keep using the extension but using the zoom option instead of minimum font size. Another reviewer mentions the extension is overloading the CPU, and the devs of the app replying it has to do with text zoom and minimum font size. They introduced a lite mode in the last version (which disables these features). I think they should fix it, or remove the features entirely.
