Easy Youtube Video Downloader Express by Dishita

by Firefox user 13442864, 6 years agoThe only Youtube downloader that actually works. And you can forget downloading Youtube videos on any other browser. Chrome based browsers aren't allowed to enable Youtube video downloads. This addon is simple, easy to use, and it actually will download the video. Plus the developer offers great support. When Youtube recently changed something (turns out it was their encryption) that caused downloads to fail, I emailed the developer and after a few simple questions, he had it working properly again in just a few days. I've been building computers for the better part of 35 years. I've written scripts for professional software on Windows and Linux. And I'm here to tell you this is a great addon. There are only 6600 reviews out of 677k users. That's less than 1% of users posting reviews. And almost 78% of those reviews are 4 or 5 stars. You know that if the other 670k+ users were having problems, they'd be posting bad reviews here. Folks will always complain about something that doesn't work as they expect, but they often forget to praise something that just works well.

- Rated 5 out of 5by skipspotter, a day agoOne of the more reliable "download" extensions. I've tested so many download extensions and scripts that my fingers are numb. I recommend this ext as there are various options to save as song tracks in audio or save video as a complete video. The creator *Dishita* obviously put a great deal of work into the extension which shows in the fast downloads, the user experience in ease of use and design, and one major point is that is seems to have little to no impact on page loading when it is active.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 19803951, 2 days agoWorks fine once you've updated to 24.1. I had the same 0byte download prob for awhile. Check your version in extension management. Go to his site for the upgrade. It's not obvious when it's done so test by going to utube and do a download and/or ck the version # again in your extension mgmt. It's a constant back and forth between him and the giant so show support once you do get it working again. It's a great tool but there will always be down timtimes while he figures out how to get around the latest changes on their side. Be patient

- Rated 1 out of 5by Chris, 2 days agoDoes not work.
Claims it downloads, also claims success, but the files created are empty. 0 bytes. It probably worked at some point, and might again in the future, but at the time I am writing this review march 2026, it does not work. I think the least the creator could do is stop the addon from saying it is a success if the created files are empty. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 19589086, 3 days agosome months ago, this extension just BRICKED. if you tried to download a video after that time, it would download the file twice, display storage as "0.0 mb" (indication of format error), and not be able to play.
tldr: bricked some months ago - Rated 5 out of 5by Emilie, 3 days agoA great extension for downloading YouTube videos, and the creator works tirelessly to try to stay ahead of YouTube's own anti-download measures.

- Rated 2 out of 5by Nutty, 7 days agoDowngraded due to shady code to force a review. FAFO when you do stuff like this.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Paxx, 7 days agoIt's gotten bad since all the different versions with languages got added. It downloads two copies and none of them work. Just keep it simple and stop adding the pointless languages.
