Successfully downloaded YouTube live streams after a delay while some others failed. Every YouTube downloading extension has to be updated when YouTube makes changes. This one has kept up, after some delay, as well as paid for pro Video Download Ultimate, better than other free ones I've tried. If it had better controls - e.g., an obvious way to cancel downloads - and settings - e.g., ability to select download destination - I would rate it 5 stars.

New Install of Version24.4 (with Firefox version150.0.2) is ONLY allowing 360p downloads, any other file size gives message of "network error"

Great YouTube downloader! Offers a variety of resolutions up to 1080p. Best feature (among many) is that it offers the English audio feed for videos that have audio tracks in different languages. Highly recommended!

This has always been a favorite; I've supported it before (years ago via a now deleted profile). I stepped away for a while when :yt: code changes blocked its functioning for an extended period, and a different extension worked better -- but now in 2026 the tides have turned, this one works (150.0.3 under Linux) and the other doesn't! Having a reliable alternative is always good.
