I do not often write reviews, but must for this Firefox extension. With YouTube changing things so frequently, the author has not only managed to keep up, but also provided work arounds before coming up with rewritten software. I would recommend it to anyone wanting easy YouTube downloads, and hope that you will contribute, as it would be a great loss if it disappeared through lack of support.

Well, it claims free download, but it works only for 360p or less... other formats you have to pay.

I bought the PRO version of this years ago, and then I voluntarily paid for it again later, just because it worked so well and the customer service was always quick (within 24 hours). Now, however, despite paying twice for this I no longer have access to it. He wants me to pay yet again for it, which means he totally lied before because it was advertised as "pay once for lifetime access". I get that things change, and new costs may now be occurring, but you can't just unilaterally change the contract terms. Especially since the reason I paid a second time was because I felt sorry for the hard work he put in, leading to him asking for more money every time he did an update. What a shame.

wants you to pay to DL 720p or 1080p, doesn't even see 4k streams

excuse given for the need to charge for "pro" is "server infrastructure" or some nonsense, as if they couldnt just use ffmpeg or something similar on your local machine to combine the streams

I mean I can do that manually with mkvmerge ffs takes like 1 second for 5min 4k video

It just works. I work with a choir, and it's incredibly helpful to find recordings of songs and be able to download just the MP3 so I can add them to an audio playlist and study anywhere.

The one time I had a problem with something, I contacted the developer and had a response within 24 hours that was helpful. Excellent extension.

So far it seems to just work, and the setup is trivial. When I want a video I get a video! It doesn't get any easier than that.

I am a linedancer and used the free downloaderfor quite some time to download demo videos. I finally did the right thing and donated some money for what I find the is best and easiest downloader. I looked at numerous others but they all have some kind of issue like not being able to chose the file destination, or only low quality videos, requiring 3rd party intervention, etc. This one encapsulates everything nicely into one package. Thank you for your work.
