- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14501193, 7 years agoWorks great! Gives me the same functionality that FireFox decided wasn't worth maintaining. Thanks Tim and Tom for the quick turn around deploying this for us old school FireFox users.
- Rated 4 out of 5by imqqmi, 7 years agoThanks for bringing back the live rss bookmarks! How ironic it's based on an extension for chrome to provide Firefox like live bookmarks!
A few suggestions to improve:
- Done! Show which article is read
- Show icon of feed instead of the folder icon
- Remove icon in the drop down menu, some icons are annoying when displayed multiple times in a vertical row.
Keep up the good work! - Rated 3 out of 5by dthfckr, 7 years agogood to have someone swinging away at keeping live bookmarks alive in firefox. so far, it looks the part, but there's one big problem.
the bandwidth + cpu overload for large numbers of feeds is the main issue. set it lower than once every 20 or 30 minutes and you'll regret it. tried 1 minute as an experiment, firefox locked up and i had to kill it in task manager. definitely needs an option to limit the number of threads that update concurrently and/or an automatic limiter that caps it at 4 or 5 threads at a time.
feedbro has such an option, but for those who are looking for simple pre-v64 dropdown menu style feeds, reader add-ons just don't cut it. - Rated 5 out of 5by Bernd, 7 years agoGenau das was ich gesucht habe, nachdem FF diese Standartfunktion im Browser abgeschafft hat.

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13272218, 7 years agoIt's comfortable to me. Please add the function to reflesh the feeds when stating up the browser.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14498396, 7 years agoFirefox dropped rss-support... I very often use rss feeds from several sites to stay up-to-date, so I was very disappointed about this. Luckily I found an article where someone pointed to this plug-in. Problem solved. Happy me :)
Thanks to the developers. - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 12955352, 7 years agoMost (severe) performance and stability issues of previous versions seem to be solved. It still seems to needlessly update all feeds after a restart (and possibly bad and too many feeds could still lead to issues, but I culled my feeds to a minimum so am unaware of such persisting issues).
Also the feeds flood the "recently bookmarked" list with entries that shouldn't be there (I only want to see **my bookmarks** there, not random news articles). - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14498030, 7 years ago

- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 14497470, 7 years agoDoes not behave the same across Mac and Linux platforms. Cannot use in present state. Has promise.

- Rated 4 out of 5by kingsword, 7 years agoNecessary just to slow down the rate FF is going to dump (self-censored because writing the blunt truth is against guidelines apparently).
- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 12657887, 7 years agoSuper! I was quite frightened when Ffx updated to v64 and reported the end of livemarks. Then I discovered this extension and I really like it. As the others already said: I also would appreciate read/unread flag and custom icons - then it would be a perfect 5 for me. Thanks anyway!
- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 14496423, 7 years agoLive RSS were basically the reason I stick with Firefox ... Livemarks saves this, but with 2 (quite big) limits:
1. Your bookmark has an anonymous folder icon instead of the real website icon.
2. No way to track which feed you have already read or not. - Rated 4 out of 5by Thomas Bertels, 7 years agoGreat replacement for the removed livemarks feature.
Only two missing things:
- custom icon for the feed title (instead of folder, a RSS one would be better)
- longer feed items titles length
I'm not sure if those two things are possible though.
I also have a bug: livemarks options pop-under (in Livemarks options) have a 5 seconds delay before getting displayed - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 14496034, 7 years agoGood replacement but please add read/unread indicator (as it was before in firefox). Thanks
- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 12327629, 7 years agoWorking simillar to the discotinued Firefox Rss for me.
- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 14495848, 7 years agoToo bad the functionality was removed from Firefox. This plugin seems to be a good replacement. The only thing I miss so far is a read/unread indicator for each news.
