- Rated 1 out of 5by Petert44, 8 years agoI just installed Firefox on my ThinkPad running Windows 10 and up until the time I tried to get Norton's tool bars installed I was very pleased with FF and considered uninstalling IE 11. Unfortunately, the add-on for ID safe appears not to be able to support a local vault for the passwords. I don't know if this is a Norton problem or FF. There is no way I going to place my passwords online. Does anyone know of a workaround?
- Rated 3 out of 5by Rudy81, 8 years agoI am glad to see NIS is functional gain in Firefox. I had left the browser due to the problems with NIS. However, the current version seems to thing search boxes require some sort of input from NIS. In one case, it sticks my user name for a site in the search box and places the password in the correct box. So, still needs some work....please keep making it better.
- Rated 2 out of 5by Iconoclast, 8 years agoClick on the icon for the identity safe in the upper right corner, then click logout of your Norton account. Then go back to the icon and click it again, and click login to Norton account. Once you log in to your Norton account it will prompt you to log into your vault and it will work. You have to be logged into your Norton account and the vault and I think once it expires, it is too stupid to inform you and it stays logged in and prevents access to the vault.
This is obviously a huge problem and a major oversight on Norton's part. Big surprise there, they don't seem to care about Firefox users. After waiting a year for the identity safe to return, this is a major disappointment. Good thing I still use LastPass. Norton has completely lost my trust. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 12272696, 8 years agoWow finally, it started working. I had firefox updated to Firefox 50 and it started work on my Windows as well as CentOS (Linux) Operating System. Though on my Linux, the app page shows not compatible(though it is) and doesn't seem to update to versio 1.2.47.5 from 1.0.220 (One star removerd from that)
- Rated 1 out of 5by Al, 8 years agoIt seemed like I waited a year for Norton Identity Vault to work with Firefox again. When it was added about a month ago it had limited functionality but it worked. Starting November 27, 2016, it now crashes when I try to enter my vault pin! The Error Message: "Sorry, something went wrong. Please try again."

Please try signing fully out of your Norton Account and signing back in when this error occurs. - Rated 2 out of 5by Ann620, 8 years agoThis worked great the first few weeks when using Firefox, however now when I go to logon, the logon screen is blank. Very disappointing! It works fine on Google.
- Rated 3 out of 5by Duane, 8 years agoI'm using the latest version (1.2.47.5) on FireFox 50 and it seems to work, but it's very annoying to have to login again for every new web site I visit. It seems to mostly defeat the purpose. However, it works as expected in IE 11 with no additional logins required after the first time.
- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 12634963, 8 years agoeigentlich funktioniert das Addon wie es soll.
Nur wenn ich Firefox beende und neu starte will IdentitySafe, das ich mein Passwort erneut eingebe.
Wenn das behoben ist, dann volle Punktzahl - Rated 3 out of 5by Gregor Scripe, 8 years agoThe addon is very demanding and does not work with AdBlock :(
- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 12610676, 8 years agoDas Add-On tut was es soll und das sehr gut.
Doch nur, wenn NoScript deaktiviert ist :-( - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 12568550, 8 years agoNorton bekommt es einfach nicht hin Identity Safe funktionierend in Firefox einzubinden.
Diese Add on will sich einloggen obwohl ich bei Identity Safe schon eingeloggt bin. Es lädt und lädt und lädt ........
Absolut unbrauchbarer Schrott.
Ein Armutszeugnis für Norton. - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 12605390, 8 years agoTrouble logging causes for me AdBlock Plus add-on. After his off (ABP) Norton Identity Safe works.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Alex_S, 8 years agoLike all programs from Norton it works badly. There are other cloud services better.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12595949, 8 years agoExcellent add-on! It works perfectly. No problems at all neither on loggin nor on browsing
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 12594951, 8 years agoEinloggen läuft. Bitte warten... und warten, und warten, und warten......
Mehr passiert nicht!
Add-on Version: 1.1.54
Weniger als 1 Stern geht leider nicht! - Rated 1 out of 5by Maige, 8 years agoI have the same issue as tricel (Sept. 4 review) This has never worked. I've uninstalled and reinstalled numerous times and I'm sure I have the latest updates. When I click "Open Vault" I get the "Sorry, something went wrong..." notification. So far, this has been useless for me.
I also agree that a local option should always be available. I hate using the cloud. - Rated 1 out of 5by 123456789-a, 8 years agoWhen logging in all I get is spinning dots. Oh and I am not a retard, my machine is plugged in, turned on and I was using your latest crap version 1.1.54
- Rated 1 out of 5by styleajet3, 8 years agoIt used to work great! then it stopped working and now the process to log in is ridiculous!!! I f you log in from the menu bar (that is if it lets you this day) you have to log in again to log into a page?? If you surf to another page, you have to log in again?? What happened to the stay logged in option?? And the log out option?? You guys need to fix it!! I love firefox but I need my ID safe to work. If it doesn't soon I'll have to quit Firefox ;-( If there was a minus on the star rating I'd have put Minus 5 stars at least. Please fix it, its frustrating as hell.

Had to figure out to access vault via icon in top right. Actually like that the vault is a browser page. In Chrome the vault ribbon would lay over the top of the page I was viewing which was inconvenient. - Rated 1 out of 5by rjatcu, 8 years agoThis plugin slows down your browsing experience significantly. When visiting pages with many form fields (e.g. while working on my shop backend) the system almost freezes. I think it's because the plugins tries to establish a connection to the Norton server, which is incredibly slow.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 12569348, 8 years agoWhatever you say in Symantec, this add on isn't functional...you should consider giving our money back because this problem exists 6 months already!!!
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 12563800, 8 years agoI prefer to use the local password vault option for NIS, yes you can still use the local option if you never set up a cloud vault. This addon does not see my NIS local vault and I refuse to use a cloud option. Are you freaking serious? The cloud is not safe and NOT PRIVATE!!!!!
FYI- Chrome and IE still work with the NIS password manager with a local vault. So you may be making a decision for me, unfortunately.
