Proton Pass by Proton

by Firefox user 16492086, 4 months agoFar from perfect. It is not very consistent, sometimes it fails to capture the username, sometimes the password in quite a few websites: about 1 in 10 websites has some kind of problem, my bank (piraeusbank.gr), my Camscanner login (v4.camscanner .com) and politico.eu login page, among others. In the case of politico.eu, the login would completely fail: I couldn't login at all unless I uninstalled the add-on. I have reported these pages, but nothing happened.
I installed Proton Pass because I wasn't happy with Firefox's default password manager either, but since it isn't perfect, I don't see what the advantage is over the (also not perfect) Firefox default password manager: all that changes is which websites don't work. I suspect my problems are Kubuntu Firefox-specific, but the result doesn't change. I'll return to Firefox default password manager for now

- Rated 5 out of 5by FrankO3, 5 days agoNot sure what I'd do without Proton. In my opinion, they are the most streamlined and beginner friendly provider for consumer info-sec and privacy. Their entire suite is free to use including VPN, Pass manager, email and calendar if you don't want the extras involved.
Proton is an extra step for those looking for advanced protection while being unfamiliar with cyber security. Their help in securing data, accounts and anonymity from malicious attacks gives added peace of mind without any additional cost to the user.
TL;DR Proton is the GOAT! - Rated 4 out of 5by Marcus1Pierce, 5 days agoThe extension works great and is very easy to use. However, on some websites, the Proton Pass icon doesn't appear on the login fields, making autofill less convenient. Overall, it's a great password manager.
