- Rated 3 out of 5by slawnkale, a year agoThere are some things that bother me a bit. But overall the addon seems like a good start and perhaps will be polished to an excellent product. Anyway, the thing that bothers me the most is that in the 'vault' clicking "Password" field will copy the password to clipboard. This is a good thing but I think it's made too easy and I think that a separate button for this would be better. Same thing with the "Note" field, I find clicking it to copy everything in it to be a too easy way, and I'd prefer a separate button.
There's also one more thing but I don't know if it's a fault of Proton Pass, Firefox or, in this case, Bitwarden: when migrating from Bitwarden, the "Created" date is not exported to Proton Pass. Perhaps Bitwarden doesn't export this info? If there's a way around this, would love to hear it.Developer response
posted a year agoThank you for your suggestions - we've passed them along to the team! Please contact us at pass@protonme.zendesk.com so we can look further into the issue you report with your import from Bitwarden. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 15687883, a year agoI love Proton Mail but Proton Pass is absolutely useless for me as I must be logged in to my Proton Mail to use it.

posted a year agoHi! Both services are managed under the same account, so you need to be logged in to use Proton Pass. If this is a cause for concern for you, you can create a separate account for Proton Pass only. - Rated 2 out of 5by randomuser, a year agoI really want to like it. I love Proton Mail. I'd hoped to have all PWs in one safe place, then delete them from Firefox and different profiles in Chrome. I need to see all the passwords on one page, the way all the browsers display them, and manage them from that page. I also need to easily choose login credentials when there is more than one profile on a site. For now, I'll stick to managing PWs through browsers. Please make this look more like what everyone's used to.

posted a year agoThank you for taking the time to review our service! Introducing a full screen Web app is on our roadmap and its development has already started: https://proton.me/blog/pass-roadmap-2023. Please note that you can already easily select one of multiple logins available for a certain service, by selecting the Proton Pass icon in the login field. - Rated 5 out of 5by Debeli747, a year ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by PrinsHertog, a year agoIt's amazing so far, very curious about the new features that are coming soon.
- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 18020073, a year agoI have used Protonmail merrily for many years, and trust it quite a lot, so when this service popped up I was very promptly in.
The very second website I used after installation was such a spectacular disaster that I had to remove the add-on entirely.
I will TRY to explain (plus superficially mention a couple other things I found lacking).
1. I don't love the large pop-up window asking for something on the side. I IMAGINE it asked if I wanted to save my password for this site, or maybe if I wanted to implement the password it had already stored from the CVS import I had performed minutes earlier. There was no way to know because most of the right-hand side text was clipped, and it would not fill the space even if I reduced the zoom level of the page.
2. Installation process... not great. Too unclear on the results. In my case I could never plainly see if the add-on was already working unless I checked via the Firefox manager.
3. The really egregious problem took place as I was trying to log-in into my bank's website.
My bank has a system that includes 3 pages for that purpose.
1st page you enter your card. 2nd page your password. 3rd page you scan a QR code that a physical token reads and gives you a numerical transitory PIN to be entered in some fields.
It was on this third page that the catastrophic behaviour of the add-on manifested.
The PIN is 8 digits long. Each digit is entered in its own separate space (there are 8 different tiny areas to enter each number).
The 1st and 8th areas showed automatically the icon of ProtonPass. And nothing else could be input into those spaces.
So from 8 digits, I could only enter 6.
Since those numbers are time sensitive, the only way to solve the situation was to deactivate the add-on.
You can imagine how useless this nice idea quickly turned for me.
I hope I was able to explain the situation because my intention is not to simply to berate this tiny piece of software, but to actually help make it better.
Best wishes with the development, very likely I'll come back some months later to check it again.Developer response
posted a year agoThank you for your feedback. We appreciate your input on what we can do to improve the extension with future iterations.
For 1), are you using any custom font on your web browser? We're aware of the issue and we're going to address it in a future update.
3) This isn't an issue that we've encountered before. If you're able to reproduce it, would you consider contacting us via the Settings → Support option in the extension, and give us more information so we can document the report? Namely, please send us a screenshot, if possible, tell us the website's name, as well as your OS and browser versions. - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 14840200, a year ago
