posted 2 years agoThe description states it works for html5 video, so I hope you can change your review to reflect that this extension is working as stated.
Sorry, it probably uses webrtc and I don’t think I have a method to inject in such APIs.
Most things that interface with call audio causes many glitches since its live two way communication and that requires such low latency.
I have never used whatsapp but it is a service that requires phone linking etc? So I don't have a way to test it.- Rated 1 out of 5by Seth, 2 years ago

Others were silent/muted, but this one works well. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 15076878, 2 years agoRuns very well for HTML5 video. Clean and Light. Thanks for creating this extension! Very useful!

posted 2 years agoPlease elaborate. What is the issue? What sites does the issue persist on? Please leave constructive feedback, so I can assist you and the community.- Rated 5 out of 5by hehe, 2 years agoworks perfectly. exactly what i wanted, a no-nonsense extra volume slider. i have issues with audio sensitivity and being able to make things as quiet as humanly possible is a godsend.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Fleerb_, 2 years agoworks great once set up, super helpful for lots of sites.
It seems to be interfering with being able to play videos at all on Amazon Prime video at the moment which is a shame, but disabling it whilst on Prime then enabling after does the trickDeveloper response

If you right click the extension, you should see the default is permission-less, it needs to be clicked to get permission -to then work on the current URL.
If clicking on the extension, you may hear audio clip for a ms as it takes permission.
Therefore it should not be in an active state, prior to clicking. If you are not able to reproduce this, and the problem is still existing despite the extension not having permission LMK I will look into it, but it will most likely require a bg.js - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 17975092, 2 years agoreally good but pls fix the problem where it goes earr*ape loud on certain parts of a youtube video when set on highest setting been using this for almost a year now and its the only problem i have +can you make it work on reddit?
Developer response
posted 2 years agoHi, the issue with 'earr*pe' is from the youtuber they often don't normalize volume and if they do they create ultra loud 'earr*pe' as a 'meme' especially people like pewdiepie they always did a really loud sound for comedic affect.
The only resolution to do that is normalize the volume on your site, as noise normalization requires such logic that it ties into your system drivers.
As for reddit it should be working if you granted the permissions as stated in the latest patch notes lmk. - Rated 5 out of 5by Weaponx96, 2 years ago

posted 2 years agoHello, thanks for your input, I was resistant on submitting further updates as most features/compatibility is only fixed by requiring further permissions.
However I have submitted the update now, I hope it resolves your issue with twitch.
LMK, if it does I would love your five star! <3- Rated 4 out of 5by Ben, 2 years agoProbably the best option so far in software volume boosters, at least if you're mostly using Youtube. Though, this plugin (like all others of the same genre) fail to keep the volume setting for a site. So for instance if you watch a YT video and set it to +8dB, then watch a second YT video, you'll be back to +0dB and will have to manually set it back to +8dB or whatever. This is very annoying as unfortunately I have got one of those 800$ Acer P.O.S. laptops that have the speakers mounted ON THE BOTTOM so any sound is effectively half as loud as it normally would be on any normal laptop. I don't know what they smoked while designing this laptop, but thanks to your plugin, I can AT LEAST understand what the Youtuber says when volume is at 100% in Windows. If you could make it so that it retains the +dB setting for a given domain name or at the very least, have users edit the default +dB value to something else than +0dB it would be 5 stars out of 5!

posted 2 years agoI would love to include persistent memory but to add such a cache would request file access permission which spooks more users away from the extension. - Rated 5 out of 5by SourCandy, 2 years agoHad to uninstall because it randomly requested all data permissions without any change notes on Github or "Release Notes" section in the extensions settings.
Edit Response:
I see. I'm fine with the increased permissions if it is allowed to do that now. Just wish there was notes somewhere explaining the change just to be sure your Mozilla account didn't get hacked or something and malicious code was added lol.
Is there any way to make it work on gogoanime.llc or sites that use a similar player?
Thanks!Developer response
posted 2 years agoThe latest revision, where you lowered your rating in fact made it work on this site.
I've reverted the extension to the previous release on FireFox.com
Hi, I was contemplating for awhile weather I should add more functionality, but it would require more permissions. This new update checks iframes for content. Previously only checked tabs, so it worked on less sites.
I might make two branches, I’ll revert this and make this branch “reduced permissions” and release a new extension (extra functionality). - Rated 5 out of 5by Syed Muhammad Hussain, 2 years ago
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 17943364, 2 years agoDoes increase the volume but i search for an addon that can decrease it and this feature does not work tried it on youtube music
Developer response
posted 2 years agoI have just tried music.youtube.com and setting a negative db with the slider is working at lowering the volume as intended. Also typing a negative value worked for lowering the volume. Mono is also working.

Are you using any other extensions? Please elaborate and feel free to contact me on the github or emailing chaython@live.ca.
I'd love to help you troubleshoot your complication.
Thanks, look forward to your contact, or you finding the complication and the review revised to a beautiful 5 star :D - Rated 5 out of 5by shantamarora, 2 years agoWorks great on youtube, but is there a way i could make it work on fmovies? maybe by changing the video player?
- Rated 5 out of 5by ator-dev, 2 years agoThe only volume control add-on I have found so far that:
- does not remove volume
- actually boosts volume above the maximum
in addition to having a great minimal light/dark design! Thank you very much, I really needed this to make my tabs audible (:
Edit: Thank you for merging and improving the keyboard control improvement! Already in love with it. - Rated 5 out of 5by Edwin, 2 years agoLove it. This add-on doesn't affect videos full-screen mode. Extension on Chrome require you to press F11 to go full-screen. I hate it. This add-on does what it's supposed to do. Good job!

- Rated 5 out of 5by kj, 2 years agoThis extension is fantastic! its so simple and lightweight, yet so effective and I know I am safe using this extension. The only feature I request is more volume.
Developer response
posted 2 years agoThanks for liking my extension. I hope you also enjoy the most recent set of patches. Please let me know if you prefer the circle or the stick? I don't know in what circumstance you would need more volume, if I play most things more than 10dB above the default, it will start clipping. - Rated 5 out of 5by JeffB, 2 years agoSimple, clean & free. Works great!
Only thing I wouldn't mind seeing added is +/- buttons to adjust the dB's besides clicking & dragging the slider with mouse.
Edit: Thanks Dev! The many hours on the update is much appreciated!Developer response
posted 2 years agoHope you like my recent changes, you can now manually type in a different value, it took me many hours to implement something that seems so easy.
