My previous opinion was wrong. I realized that sometimes it collides with browser's native password management. And of course the extension is very sensitive to url format, including correct protocol (https vs http) which is actually a virtue! After a bit of struggle I must say that this extension performs very well (on Debian)
I'm leaving my old opinion, maybe it will help someone:
Does not fill username nor password on almost all sites (keepass icons on user/pass fields is sometimes grayed out, sometimes not but it doesn't matter. Firefox or Chrome? Doesn't matter. Fill option doesn't work, keyboard shortcut doesn't work when database is connected (but password generator works!). No KeepassXC option in right-click menu. Surprisingly it works correctly for github (the only working site I found in my basket) which ensures me that I perfectly know what I'm doing.

发布于 4 年前Probably the OS keyboard shortcuts collide with the ones in the extension's. You can modify the shortcuts from your browser. If the filling does not work, the issue seems that you are using incorrect URL's in your entries. You must define them with the simplest form possible. For example a page with URL https://www.example.com/login_page/ works great with entry URL defined as https://example.com. That works as a wildcard for https://*.example.com/*.
For Debian it's recommended to use the PPA or AppImage because the default repository often offers an old KeePassXC version.

发布于 1 个月前That is what this extension also does. If something does not work directly, it's usually something with your system. And that is why the troubleshooting guide exists.- 评分 1 / 5来自 Firefox 用户 12580101， 1 个月前I couldn't get it to work. I wasted a lot of time in trying. I have a lot of experience with programming and windows. I've used keepass since 1.0 or earlier and was trying to move off 2.0 because it cannot identify window titles in win11 wild cards or not and has quirks on opning from the toolbar. But neither can this. In fact it shows the same operational failures as 2.0. I did not test toolbar with xc. Obviously some have gotten it to work but it appears the list of those that cannot get it to work is growing. Back to 2.0 for me. There is no way in this world the average user can use this extension or xc.

发布于 2 个月前There are two ways you can get credentials out from KeePassXC: using the browser extension, or using Auto-Type. Please refer to our documention for guides: https://keepassxc.org/docs/- "Error! Credentials cannot be saved or updated to a closed database."
Then open it. Prompt me for the database password. Why can the DB be opened on demand to retrieve passwords, but not to save them? I should not be expected to keep my database open all the time. That is an obvious security vulnerability. So I have it configured to close after 30 seconds. - It only has offline support. On Linux the configuration is a mess. Sometimes It doesn't talk with my desktop app. Remote support should also be added, so 1 star. I also noticed this while using it: not everything is handled within the browser. When the master password is requested, It switches to the KeepassXC desktop window which makes the experience less convenient. MasterPassword could instead be entered through a small pop-up inside the browser. This is what I would have preferred.
