- Rated 5 out of 5by jupiter2, 6 years agoLongtime user of PIA. I can't say enough good things about the quality of the service, their commitment to protecting users against the unethical practices of the tech industry and their customer service.
Since I have their core application installed on various devices (Desktop Linux, Android) it was only when testing various other live distros that I stumbled upon this extension. User-friendly UI, feature-rich and responsive (ie, lets you know when a connection is not secure because of flaky WiFi).
While I'd rather have system-wide protection using their Linux-based program, it's good to know that an easy to install, trusted and well-developed extension exist for other use cases. Keep up the great work, PIA! - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14567703, 6 years ago
- Rated 1 out of 5by Rashid, 6 years agoThe VPN randomly stops working and it doesn't matter which VPN source (Houston, Chicago, Denver, etc) it will just time out. Have to restart Firefox when that happens and it is very inconvenient and annoying when you have multiple tabs open.

- PIA Extension Team - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 14500871, 6 years agoI use pfSense with PIA, so I'm already running though the PIA VPN. How do I use this add-on w/o duplicating the VPN connection? I just want to use the added services, not the VPN itself. Is that possible?? Without that ability, it's wortheless. I'll find other add-ons to provide the same functions.

posted 6 years agoHello e49d59,
We are currently working a new feature that will allow you to use the extra settings on our extension without needing to connect to the VPN server. This feature will be available early in the upcoming year. Until then, connecting to the same proxy server on the extension as your pfSense is connected to, should allow you to use the extension settings with minimal to no performance degradation. If you feel that this answer was worthy, please consider increasing the number of stars on your review of our extension.

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 14416326, 6 years agoSo it works, I used it to change my country to the USA for my web-browser because I'm always connected to PIA through the desktop program but some sites don't work for non-US sites. When I disconnect from PIA on my web-browser instead of my IP being the same as what my computer is connected to I get a random one for my browser, like the Netherlands, England, France, ect. Kinda odd that instead of my browser just using the IP that my computer is on it connects me to a random server. Always in Europe also. I need to restart my browser to have it use the IP I'm getting through the desktop app. I'm only taking one star off because I'm still connected to a VPN and it is really nice switching it to a US VPN when I need it. I wish I could have certain tabs connected to a VPN while the other default to what my computer is using but this is nice as it is.
