posted 7 years agoHello, this is actually a known bug in Firefox on Ubuntu 18.04 for all extensions with a password field. Unfortunately, this is not something we can fix on our side since it a bug at the OS level. All we can do is wait until the fix is made on Ubuntu's side. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12560413, 7 years ago

It doesn't help either that the PC app doesn't open once you download it

posted 7 years agoHello, we'd like to remedy this issue as quick as possible. Could you send us a copy of the debug log found in the extension, under "Extension Settings", then the "Extension" section, then click on "View Debug Log" and finally click on "Copy Debug Log."
Please email this information to support@privateinternetaccess.com with the Firefox Version and the Extension Version.
Thank you. - Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 14090906, 7 years agoMy issue is that when using the web extension, email is stamped as four hours later than real time. Eg, when it is 6pm on the east coast of the US (my present location) gmail and yahoo mail are timestamped 10pm. My system setting is correct, my gmail timezone is correct, and I am connecting to servers in my time zone (New York, Toronto, Atlanta) yet the problem persists. This is not the case when I use the desktop client. I've stopped using the browser add-on as a result.

posted 7 years agoHello, this is actually due to the "Disable Fingerprinting" setting in the extension which turns on a Firefox setting for increased tracking protection. This Firefox setting essentially sets any publicly available data (window size, user's timezone data, Firefox version, etc) to something very general. This keeps the user from being uniquely identified by Ad and Tracking companies because, the user essentially looks like a generic user rather than a unique user. Installing the extension turns on this Firefox setting by default but can be turned off by clicking on the "Extension Settings" icon, then "Tracking" and finally the "Disable Fingerprinting" checkbox. Then restart the Firefox browser and the timestamp should now be local rather than set to UTC time.
If this fixes your issue, please consider re-evaluating this review and setting a better rating. - Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 14088772, 7 years ago

Everytime my wife and I had an argument, I would find flowers delivered to our door the next day. Whenever the kids were complaining about not having enough food in the house, the Ocado van would make a mis delivery, or a dominos guy would turn up with mistaken address. This went on for around two months before I installed this Add-On, at which point it abrupty stopped.
Now my wife is filing for divorce, and I am fighting for custody of my kids, but at least the authorities don't know about my reddit addiction anymore. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14058888, 7 years ago
