I have used this extension every day for years and am quite satisfied. The current version is 7.1.3a1 for beta version. It can download videos and/or audios from a lot of web sites. I then transfer the videos to my USB stick and watch them when I want on my TV. This is my favorite add-on with UblockO on my computer. Numerous web sites (including Youtube and co) are supported for free unlike some paying competitors. A list of supported web sites is given with VDH.

The author makes a lot of efforts to improve VDH and it is not his fault if Mozilla Firefox "Quantum" 57 forced all add-on authors to rewrite their softwares. It is easy to install. What ? the companion ? it is also easy to install.
