I've been using this application for years but after the 12\23 update, the downloader is completely broken. It will not download anything.
It will start the process and it says there is an error and the video could not be completed. Hopefully this error gets fixed asap.

yeah i been using this for years, but since the last update it just takes the firefox-downloadfolder without a way to change it. I will have to look for something else. i dont want to move everything manually from my desktop, thanks. Who thought this was a good idea? I just love it when updates make everything worse, so great wow.

Initially, it is working fine, but later it is adding QR code which is much greater in size. We have alternate add ons for video downloader.
DO NOT INSTALL IT.

For some time ive been using this, its just bad. Just get separate windows program not browser extension ( media downloader from github works better than that) If i remember correctly for most files you need to download program anyway and you dont know if your video will have paywall at some point by having huge QR code in it

Like others I have reverted to Version 9.5.0.2 and will cease all updates going forward

since the last update it got much uglier but mainly extremely confusing. then where is mkv? i used to download everything in this format and now it is just gone.

Excellent module, fast and convenient, easy to use and works on many many video players. Repost because : December 2025 update is aweful as of now, let's wait and see if functionalities come back.

The download speed has been dramatically dropped since the last update. It's very slow now. Big disappointed.

I'm, unfortunately, downgrading my rating of this extension...and I have a premium license (Pay once, use forever). Used to be great, easy to use, and worked on most sites I visited.

Then issues like the watermark and conversion tool controversy, etc.. And now, for me, it is downloading from fewer and fewer sites, often only giving me a partial download, or even an error.

I have removed and reinstalled several times, but it hasn't improved to its original functionality.

Disappointing for a product I loved and reccomended to many others.

randomly stops working or freezes

Works alright on windows, but runs like absolute buns on Linux. Downloads move at a snails pace yet I have StarLink. Makes absolutely no sense at all!

Tried to download audio from Chrome with this extension but it says "Please use the Firefox version". So then I download the Firefox version and it says "Please install the external program". So I download and install the external program but then it says "Please pay $30 for a license to download audio". WTH!?

They made me jump through all these loops just to sell me a license at the very end!

Chrome version works fine for downloading videos so I'll give it an extra star.

They added that QR code that ruins the experience when converting the video. They should have always made the extension paid, not free, and then added the QR code. I removed the extension after 10 years. / Pusieron ese codigo QR que daña la experiencia al convertir el video, hubieran puesto la extensión siempre de pago y no gratis para despues colocar el código QR. Elimine la extensión despues de 10 años

Used to be very helpful. Now it covers most of the video with a QR code. No longer usable.

Requires payment to remove watermark, as well as converting to audio.

I have no problem with wanting a license to avoid watermarks on some downloads (mainly Youtube AFAIK), but warning only AFTER the download is shady and stupid (is a lose-lose situation, nobody will buy after such a shady trick, and because buying the license will not remove the watermark, you have to download again)

Years ago used to work great. Since then began asking to install a software on your computer, to register and pay, or something else. Now the latest - supposedly downloads it but not as a file. Clicking "play" or "open folder" does nothing. I realised I always end up looking for other ways to save the video I need. :(
