- Rated 2 out of 5by Burretploof, a day agoTwo stars because while it does what it's supposed to (mostly), it has severe limitations for free users and - this is much worse - it can slow down various sites. YouTube especially.
It's gotten to the point where I keep the extension disabled until I need it. - Rated 2 out of 5by dTA, 2 days ago
- Rated 2 out of 5by NubTheFatMan, 4 days agoIt does its job but it plasters its own watermark in the corner even though the content isn't even its own, and then asks for you to pay to remove it. It's like those people who find a meme, cover up the @ of who made it, then write their own over it.
- Rated 2 out of 5by edenbeam, 10 days agoYou have to download companion software and stuff only for it to add a big QR code to the bottom left of the video files. Downloads are also slow - about 4mbps usually. Also the QR code links to a 'lifetime license' but it only say one year on their page. Tons of services out there that do not have these issues, no reason to use this nonsense.

- Rated 2 out of 5by dj, 10 days agoworks sometimes. need to check EVERYTIME(!) if the complete video downloaded. most times it doesn´t without telling so you have half a video.
- Rated 2 out of 5by bobjr94, 13 days agoDon't bother. After installing the plugin it had me download an additional program. Then when I saved a youtube video it has a huge QR logo taking up 25% of the screen making the video unwatchable. They than want you to pay $28 to unlock the full version. I did a google search for youtube download and found a webiste that gave me the full 1080P video in half the time and logo free.

- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 17271255, a month agoIch finde den Video Download Helper grundsätzlich prima. Aber seit dem letzten Firefox Update kann ich ihn für YouTube Downloads nicht mehr nutzen.

- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 18914695, 2 months agoYay, prompted to rate after 100 downloads... 100 downloads of Chinese I don't understand with no subs...
Required update: Add option to include the subs attached to said files...
Additional updates: Option to download a full site so you don't have to do them individually. Option to include Preview and outro markers. Option to exclude said preview and outro sections.. - Rated 2 out of 5by Jivix fromwc3, 2 months agoApp has been extremely unreliable for the past few years on many websites. Looooong periods where it simply won't work or throws errors, then an update comes out and it'll work for a few weeks or maybe months, then the process repeats.
Sadly this seems to happen with all of the video download tools out there so this may as much due to malicious coding efforts of the video hosters than the design of this addon, but the user experience is frustrating enough to warrant a low star rating. - Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 18906094, 2 months agoOn old machine slow down sites like youtube, be careful. Only firefox version is "free"
- Rated 2 out of 5by Fotofrans, 2 months agoViele Videos die bis vor kurzem vom Downlaodhelper angezeigt wurden werden aktuell nicht mehr angezeigt als möglicher Download.
Deshalb meine Bewertung von 5 auf 2 herunter gebracht.
Das betrifft vorallem Youtube-Videos !! - Rated 2 out of 5by Joanna, 2 months agoI have bought the premium version to make it easier and more proficient hovewer there is no big difference vs the free version. The biggest disapppointment was that in the paid version there is no bulk download: no possible to use csv file, no way to autamate the process.
Also quite often it doesn't recogniese media file (sometimes the mozilla exetnsion says there is no media while you are able to download it on the chrome extension).
Recently it stopped recongizing the YB videos too. No point for buying the pro version. - Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 15105866, 2 months ago
