Video Download Helper is the best, most useful, must have addon for Mozilla Firefox and/or any browser. Videos get downloaded smoothly with almost no hiccups. The addon provides the option to download a video with a wide range of video file formats or file extensions as well as many different resolutions. It also provides a conversion feature which is quite convenient. The addon rarely misses a video playing on a webpage and almost always catches a wide range of files available for downloading from the opened webpage which in most cases include all compatible streamable files on the page. What's more useful is that it does so across all open browser tabs and windows so that you don't have to switch tabs in order to download a file playing on a different tab than the currently opened active tab. It also allows you to download orphan files i.e. files that were playing on a tab which has been recently closed. Another useful feature of the program is that it generates an error report when a download fails and states the nature/reason of the error. It only downloads four files at any given time and the rest are queued sequentially as and when they are added by the user for downloading, which ensures that the downloading process does not consume too much resources and hog too much of your internet traffic and data. More over it shows you how many files are being and will be downloaded and how many have been queued at all times. It also color codes all the different statuses that the program is in, so that one could tell if it's idle, downloading a file, or if it has failed to do so just by looking at the addon icon on your browser without even clicking on it. I have never found a better substitute for this addon, and it is a highly recommended and often times a very crucial addition to your browser. The developer really thought this program through.
