Highly recommend if you're interested in preserving, well, Anything, especially with how gatekeep-y the Web has become.
- Rated 4 out of 5by Wind of change, 15 days agoVideo DownloadHelper is a very useful tool for my needs, and I highly recommend it. There are a few situations where I can’t always download videos—I’m not sure why. That’s why I’m giving it only 4 stars.

- Rated 4 out of 5by RAHHskeleton, a month agoThis has been amazing for years, but now they have removed all traces of the desktop application from the website so on my new device i can no longer download videos, i am no longer prompted to download the application needed for the extension and the website is missing downloads.

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 19761608, a month agoBeen able to download 98% of websites, multiple video file formats, sometimes it seems like there is a frame rate mismatch between video downloaded & original source. And being forced to pay to clear the watermark at certain videos could be improved on.
Overall, really glad with the addon. - Rated 4 out of 5by Takudzwa, a month agoPretty decent addon. I use it to download any batch of videos i can't download normally, so I'd say it's pretty versitile.

- Rated 4 out of 5by R. J. Howard, a month agoThis is the most effective video downloader I've tried. I would give it 5 stars, but the elimination of the companion program is a bad thing. The problem is the Firefox disallowed extensions to save files wherever uses wished some years ago, so a program by the author was necessary to complete a save in the regular way. Without this, one has to go to a pre-chosen location and move the file to ones preferred location for it. Yes, one can use the extension to open the Downloads folder and move the file, but that's more work than I want to do. Still, I understand and this is more than I've gotten for free in a while, so kudos to the developer.
