Just a fantastic add-on for video downloads. It works for almost every format, every site, and its also mature, so the features work the way you would expect them to.
This is my top add-on - a must have...

I have been using Video DownloadHelper for the last few years and it keeps improving. The latest facility is it enables downloading of videos streamed via the HLS protocol. However, in the last few days, I notice that it does not throw up links for high density videos. Otherwise, a superb product !!

I live in South Africa, where the cost for online access are literally going through the roof, even worse for the son of the soil in the heart of Soweto. Video DownloadHelper has assisted me to improve my academic performance as I am now able to watch educational videos many times at no cost.

The feature that I like is the ability to choose the quality of video that you want to watch. It makes it possible for one to have a video that complements the kind of graphic card on uses, especially the low budget cards.

I use this on Mac and Linux (Fedora 28) and it works great on both! It worked well before the addons trstrictions and works well now with the companion app.

I download mostly TV show episodes and occasional movies.
Detects many different players, properly names files, works great!

I don't know how it works on youtube, since I don't use it on youtube.
