ich hatte insoweit noch keinerlei probleme mit dem downloadhelper (win 10 pro 64bit)!

Almost Faultless... And the fault, I'm sure, was mine, not the app. It took a bit of trial and error but the process is now seamless: click-click-done. Happily donated $ to the project and will do so again (my previous downloader, that I paid $ for upfront, was... almost useless).
