It was a good add-on back in a day. Now not only it requires to download an external app which wasn't needed befor, but it's also adds that stupid QR-code on videos which were downloaded through companion app. Uninstalled after 8 years of use.

This add-on does exactly what it says it does. Seamlessly integrating video and animated gif downloads with firefox. There are a few that don't work, like those from facebook. But there are workarounds.

I've been using it for years and it progressively getting worse. Huge QR code in all of the videos is definitely not acceptable. I'm ok to pay for the applications I like and use, but hate when the developer trying to FORCE me into buying. Removed.

Ich benutze den Downloadhelper sehr gerne, weil man ein Icon direkt im Zugriff hat, um das Programm zu starten. Ein umständliches Bereithalten eines anderen Werkzeuges im Hintergrund entfällt, weil das Programm sofort nach Aufrufen von Firefox als Add-On zur Verfügung steht.
Ich würde mir wünschen, daß der Download-Prozeß schneller vonstatten ginge, weil ich mir häufiger Redebeiträge herunterlade, um sie anschließend noch einmal in Ruhe bewerten zu können.
Der Download Helper ist ein zuverlässiges Werkzeug, das ich nicht missen möchte.

This is the best downloader I've found, for my uses. It isn't perfect--it can be slow now and then, and that might be the site's fault-- but it snags videos from most places I visit.
