I've used "Video DownloadHelper" as a must-have plugin for Firefox about 6-7 years and recommended to my friends.

Leads to 100% CPU usage when nothing is going on. Not sure what it keeps processing. Anyone can check with about:performance.

Very easy to use, downloads a lot of different file types ( MP4, WEBM etc.. ) however, during downloads, it does use a lot of CPU resources tho. Other than that it works great!!! I'd strongly recommend it :P

Very good at capturing video media and saving it offline for future viewing purposes. Either will save directly to downloads or save and convert to a discreet folder named dwhelper if you need to find them.
