- Rated 4 out of 5by madtom, 8 years agoI've used Video DownloadHelper for many years, as the technology and the rules of the game changed, and I'm very impressed with the efforts made to keep up with the latest requirements. Though sometimes it took a little extra effort to keep up, myself, it's been well worth it and my thanks (as well as an occasional contribution) go out to those responsible.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12712974, 8 years agoBeen using Video DownloadHelper for a while. Just got notice that I've downloaded my 500th file. Awesome. Tells you I really like using it. So why is it so good? I travel a lot and like to watch educational during the hours I spend on airplanes and in places with crappy WIFI. Video DownloadHelper gives me the ability to download videos and watch them when I have time.
Thanks guys for a great product. - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13973403, 8 years agoO programa ficou péssimo nesta nova versão do Firefox, perdeu muito das agradáveis funcionalidades.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13972969, 8 years agoThis app is so easy to use and doesn't use a watermark unlike some others. I have donated to the developer as I think its worth it.

- Rated 3 out of 5by Wei Mock, 8 years agoUsed to be a very good downloader that can detect any videos from any sites. Download speed then were pretty fast too.
However, recently the downloader has been not that good as compared to earlier. Most of the videos are now undetectable by the downloader and it will take at least half an hour to finish downloading a small video file. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 12396291, 8 years agoI've been using the Video DownloadHelper for quite a number of years and have found it to be a really useful extension. The way it works is if you are viewing a video on a website that does not have a facility to download the video to your hard drive, the VDH extension will allow you to do this, it will allow you to specify where you want to save it (which folder) and will allow you to specify a pernonalised name for the video that you are saving.
The only downside I found is that you only get told, after the fact, that you should install a secondary extension to be able to save the video. After the installation, and after your first attempt to download a video, you get a prompt to add a secondary, accompanying extension which allows you to save your files effectively. That's just a minor annoyance which quickly dissipates once you learn how useful this extension can be. It will even allow you to download a Youtube video with options of varying quality. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13971922, 8 years ago
