For years, this add-on has required an additional program to installed. No problem. But the program has never installed. Not once. Not for several years. This add-on does not work, has not worked and probably never will work.

Have used this add on for a while and it used to work great. Today tried to use it for a video download using identical steps and after a very very very long time - the video was ready to download but a required payment feature has now been added. I get that some capabilities require payment -- but I DO NOT like finding out after wasting 1/2 hour. The software should warn of the new required payment before wasting user's time. I do actually pay for some capabilities -- but never after being tricked into it. I will no longer be using this software. Beware the required payment that now seems to be a requirement to actually get a copy of the video that you thought was being downloaded -- and it now takes a long long time.

It downloads video in great quality...but ads a huge QR code in the upper left corner of the downloaded video... so videos are unusable.

The software is great, and I would give 5 starts, but just because of the new QR code that is now added to all downloaded videos, I'm uninstalling this and giving only 1/5 review

Był to kiedyś super downloader, teraz już zbiera kasę a video jest skażone dużym znacznikiem oraz problemy z konwertowaniem audio plików. To już nie jest ten sam dobry downloader co kiedyś.
Trzeba wykupywać licencję co roku.

Directamente no funciona.
La misma extensión te aconseja instalar una aplicacion en windows para descargar los videos ya que reconocen que no pueden descargar videos con su propio plugin de Firefox. Por tanto no tiene sentido tenerla instalada

Après l'installation du module, lorsque l'on veut se servir de l'application, il est demandé d'installer un programme supplémentaire Video DownloadHelper Companion App 1.3.0, sous forme d’exécutable.
C'est nouveau ce truc ! Le module seul ne suffit plus.
Ne pouvant donc m'en servir sans ce programme supplémentaire, j'ai désinstallé.

Не работает. Установил расширение только для того, чтобы скачать с яндекс видео. Можно скачать только рекламу и превью.

Tried to download an old public domain video last night and saw this huge QR code superimposes on it. I believe this will prove to be shooting oneself in the foot. Looking for another downloader now....

Don't get me wrong. I don't expect people to work for nothing, they are entitled to compensation for their efforts. But forcing downloads with ADP and disabling "browser" downloads (that's what's happening for me), and charging for the converter (rather than support by donations) wasn't the right way to go about it.

They just REMOVED the "copy the address of the Link" function so it just loss all its Utility to me. That's Pathetic. I'm NOT Gonna Install anything on my computer from them !

When there's an option to download via browser, it MIGHT work. Sometimes. Most of the time the Download Helper won't even detect any media on the website.
And the companion app is totally useless. It's so slow and unreliable, it reminds me of good old days of 56k modems.

Forces an additoonal install that accesses info on your computer and then after download tells you that there is a license fee if you want a non-watermarked version of the video. Pure scam.
