- Rated 1 out of 5by Daniel Wu, 8 years agoChanged my rating from 5 stars to 1 star because the developer has turned evil recently. I understand that you need money for living, but can't you make the watermark less intrusive? Can't you simply put semi transparent logo of yours? Can't you simply limit the resolution and framerate for free users? Currently, every downloaded videos have huge QR code covering one third of the display. Not cool! Not cool at all! It's totally useless like this! Uninstalled!!
- Rated 1 out of 5by Christian, 8 years agoIts adding ads to Google search results that not even adblock plus can block.
It turns your browser speed really slow.
It is contantly exchanging data with some http://www.fileserve.xyz/ .
dont have a clue what is doing and if it is uploading there personal data from your harddrive. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13903792, 8 years agoSuddenly, it has started requesting we download a "companion app" to my desktop. To download the same things it had until recently.
Nope. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 12286461, 8 years agocan't find where the video downloaded from companion app is .
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13899696, 8 years agoHides too much functionality behind a paywall (putting a huge QR code on every download? Really?), and the functionality outside of the paywall doesn't actually function very well. Choosing a download directory is way harder than it should be.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13884817, 8 years agoThis crap is telling me to download another program from it's site to be able to use this addon in firefox like wtf is this bullshit crap making me download some fishy as .exe file from some shady site.
The reason i'm installing an addon is so I don't need to install a windows program to download you damn morons like that is some shady ass bullshit probably filled with malware
Reporting this crap addon - Rated 1 out of 5by pras92, 8 years agoWhen trying to download a video, it says some of the operations requires a companion app. i.e., It wants you to install a exe software for the browser plugin to work, and what's worse is this requirement isn't for 'some operations'. It's required for any and all operations I tried with a JWPlayer video.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13882339, 8 years agonever works asks me to download an external program literally every time I try to use it which I download. When it finally does work there's a huge ugly qr code on the file. Either make it a paid program or ask for donations but this is the worst of both worlds. zero stars

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13562944, 8 years agoThis was a great browser extension until the developer stupidly forced all users to encode videos they downloaded with QR Codes. That change ruined the product. As for the current mobile extension, it does not allow you to select the bitrate of the video you want when a site has multiple versions of the same video.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Vlad Adminov, 8 years agoIt cannot just download video from youtube, it always tries to convert it. Conversion is slow. It adds ugly stamp on any video.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13878352, 8 years agoThis used to be a simple, reliable add-on but that is no longer the case. Now, any attempt to download video files off anything other than Youtube redirects to a page that is blank save for a graphic reading: "This operation requires an external application to be completed. Install companion app." It doesn't provide any information on what this "companion app." even is. What a load of crap. I am so disappointed. I thought you were better than this.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13877415, 8 years agoWas great until recently. They're now force-including QR codes on high-res videos. Greedy idiots can keep their shitty product.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13872389, 8 years agoMake your money fine, but we don't care for the QR code or any forced watermark on videos, and I'm not buying no matter how much it's shoved in my face. Downloadhelper was once free, and it's the only reason I used it. Now, it's rendered useless with the last update, and VERY SLOW. Goodbye, and learn something from the negative reviews. /uninstall

- Rated 1 out of 5by ScheideTech, 8 years agoIt was very slow processing a small file and never did finish the larger ones. Pretty much gave up on it and uninstalled it after a couple of days.
The ads were very hard on my limited bandwidth in this rural broadband challenged area. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13866282, 8 years ago
