- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 18487377, 9 months agoThe new update seems to have broken a lot more video downloads. Used to have only the odd very obscure player not work, now it is on a regular basis and ones that used to work that were less popular no longer do.
Unfortunate, but for most use cases, you'll probably be fine, however, there are other tools that can fill this need if you look around Github. - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 14889950, 9 months ago
- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 15099013, 9 months agoused to be great, now, 50% of the time it doesn't work, and the rest of the time it adds a qr-code over about 40% of the vid.
I'm sure I'll see a refund of my donation a couple weeks ago. - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 16868508, 9 months agoI gave this shit addon 3 stars just so those who looked to see what good experiences others had with this shit addon would see the truth. It deserves 0 or 1 star! This addon doesn't download Youtube videos or any others without paying $30 to the pricks that put this thing up. No mention is made of this when you see or download the addon, but try to download a video and it puts a huge watermark on the video! Don't download this piece of slow shit! Look elsewhere and cause these pricks to fail and go away!
- Rated 3 out of 5by Brian, 10 months agoVideo Download Helper has been redesigned and it is simpler to use. Easier to see the status of my downloads. However the Images Download feature, which wasn't working properly prior to the change, seems to have disappeared altogether.

- Rated 3 out of 5by Emery Palmerson, 10 months agoI noticed that the user has to acquire a license to download videos that are freely available on other sites, plus I noticed that the nameless comments are fives stars set one hour apart as if this company is now spamming the reviews as if they know that they are actively committing fraud on the public, not to mention the embedded QR Code in the video!
- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 12162781, 10 months agoI like the new look. I don't like that if i mistakenly add to the que. that I cant stop it. or at least haven't figured out how. it seems to be more reliable than the old version on the downloads completion rate.
- Rated 3 out of 5by randomenough, 10 months agoI've been using this consistently for more than a year. I use it to save some streaming audio shows from radio stations. It works pretty well and still needs a lot of improvement. My biggest gripe is that some web pages will present 27 possible files to download with no hint as to which audio stream each is. I have tried downloading all 27, but it is very time-consuming to go through each file and listen long enough to determine if it is the one I want.
If it consistently presented each file in the order on which it is on the page, that would work. Or perhaps there could be a way to identify the stream by playing the first 10 seconds before downloading.
There have been a few updates and each one has frustrated me because I have to learn a whole new way to use the extension. Each update has been more pain than pleasure as they make one thing better and sometimes two things worse. - Rated 3 out of 5by Xan, 10 months agoDownloads videos in decent quality, but without sound. If there is a setting to fix this, I cannot find it.
- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 18447508, 10 months agoIf you find the well "hidden" option to switch back to the old UI, it feels like the old version again and some of the awkward restrictions like not being allowed to chose the download folder without the companion installed. Up from bad review and one star to 3 stars for now. Havent finished a full test yet. Hiding the option to chose the download location is a VERY weird thing.

Ich will meine bisherige Version 8.x zurück!!! - Rated 3 out of 5by Czubaka1234, 10 months agoI really like that new UI. Unfortunately the new UI doesn't display media detected on closed tabs ("Orphan"). Please add this and I will gladly give 5 stars.
