Used on SteamDeck, works well. Download the companionapp installer for "other linux versions", open terminal from download folder, run the two commands. Use Flatseal to grant Firefox file permissions. This will "refresh" Firefox, so log in to your account again to return your addons. Remove file permissions when done.

Most amazing add-on I've used so far. Pretty much downloads any video from any site, including from sites that I previously could not download. Better than any extension I've used on Chrome too.

This extension used to work great for YouTube downloading. Now it hasn't worked in about a year. Supposedly it was fixed for a moment with version 8, but now it doesn't work again. Hoping that it gets updated and fixed, but I'm not optimistic after this long.

This is one of the best addons ever! I am using it daily and it so intuitive and smart. There are sites which do have protection with inbuilt players but this addon is working on 90% of all sites which is incredible cool! If this tool fails, anything else will fail but where this is working probably many others will still fail. Great job mig!

And another re-edit: Seems like Github is not a good solution to collect failure reports. Yesterday I reported a complete YouTube DL-failure - what wasn't replied at all. Today another user reported the same failure. But I was blamed to having posted twice (!!!) and caused by this the risk for the account owner to be 'sued' for SPAM - Guys, by now I won't any longer report ANYTHING! If it won't work in the future - well, bad luck and uninstall!

I've owned and used for many years, usually with the companion app. Basically stopped working with YouTube over a year ago, but continued to work on a few other sites. Now as of Aug 2023, it gets nothing at all. I get messages about not being able to aggregate streams, regardless of video type or size I try to download. Definitely don't pay for this
