- Rated 1 out of 5by Bobb, a year agoWas working great for years. New update makes it virtually unusable. Why update something that no one had any issues with and make it so much worse?
- Rated 1 out of 5by ajsorosa, a year agoSomething had happened on the new version VdhCoApp 2.0.10, that is making Video DownloadHelper to behave differently, with to many cases of a downloaded broken video file. Before this new update, everything was ok. By the way, the Video DownloadHelper version I have is 8.1.4.0
- Rated 1 out of 5by Skyblue, a year agoThis goes from 5 stars in the beginning to 3/4 stars after it required companion app. And now it's 1 star because the last update kill the addon. It doesn't work anymore. It still show every videos on every resolution on the tab but it wouldn't do anything when you click one, it's just look like it's going to start download, but it doesn't progress.

- Rated 1 out of 5by meme gazer, a year agoIt is disappointing that the new version adds a qr code watermark, I did buy a key despite there being free alternatives bc having the extension is far more convenient.
I had considered buying in the past but did not feel it was worth the price from lack of features, and I would have donated if there was some option but I was unable to find it here or on the main site.
The main example of a quality of life feature would be playlist downloads/batch downloads options.
And better more user friendly UI, especially in browser widget.
It is unfortunate the devs would rather render the extension useless with such an obnoxious watermark unless you bypass the pay wall, rather than develop premium features that would incentivize an upgrade from the free version.
Upon further review of this extension it has become apparent that what is being offered as a service is merely a ruse to accomplish some other agenda.
This is unfortunate bc the foundations here, if mindful as a customer service product, could prove to be very useful for a not insignificant number of the market.
However the developers have decided to discard those opportunities in pursuit of some less legitimate goals, and as a result I do not condone those ventures should be incentivized as lucrative.
Suffice it to say I have buyers remorse, and even to such extent that I have decided to report this extension.
And I encourage any who value personal security to do the same as this extension opens the door for malware levels of abuse. - Rated 1 out of 5by The Fur, a year agoa great idea on the out side but requires extra mods to use it will track you as it ask and will link you to the other addons at start and random those are things that REEK of a bad extension - DOSE NOT WORK ON ITS OWN!!!

- Rated 1 out of 5by wemilord, a year agoEvery time I commit the sin to close a tab with a twitch stream that I've been watching for over a couple hours, the extension just HOGS the CPU and DESTROYS the broswser. It wouldn't be so much of a problem if it weren't for the fact that it's IMPOSSIBLE to configure effing extension to IGNORE twitch streams. Why do you let me use a blacklist if YOU ARE GOING TO IGNORE IT????
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18228797, a year agoused to be good but it started adding a qr code to every video I downloaded demanding payment to be able to download videos without it.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 15322640, a year agoThe interface is a bit complicated and confusing, there is a huge QR logo in the final video which partially blocks the view, and longer videos take several hours to finish. Besides that it want permissions that can compromise privacy and maybe worse.
- Rated 1 out of 5by nikoladsp, a year agoDoes not work on Firefox 115.5.0esr when try to download from Udemy. It is unable to found any videos on the page most of the time, then if it manages to found, seems to download corrupted. Not worth of the time.
