The companion app gets installed in the OS but Firefox is install in Snap, a sandbox - not part of the OS where the companion app is installed. You have to install Firefox the old fashion way, through a ppa or manually through the terminal.

- Rated 5 out of 5by ATK, 3 years agoAbsolutely superb extension that does the job where other more established downloaders like youtube-dl, IDM, jdownloader2 etc. fail. Would appreciate a few features such as being able to order your downloads other than the order you add to it but I've been very happy with the experience so far.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Nadegda, 3 years agoОчень благодарна разработчикам.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 17673233, 3 years agoOnce you make an effort to understand how it works, and how to optimize download performance (by reading the verious help sources) it works great, and has helped me collect many of the best video for learning that I want to be able to go back to for reference.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Afzal, 3 years agoTakes forever. It took over over 8 hours for a 55MB video. How can that be possible? Unless its using my CPU to put the audio/video back together, instead of using GPU (via something like ffmpeg - what a fool the devs are if it is).
Also, doesn't remember settings, as they constantly revert back to defaults.
Use any other video downloader. Forget the fact that is was once a pretty good extension and move on.
