While in the past you could choose ANY folder in your PC as download folder for this app, since a while it forces you to choose either the default Windows Downloads folder or a subfolder of it.
And contrarily to the past, it also COMPLETELY bypasses the Firefox setting to "ask every time", i.e. even if you have this option active in the Firefox settings, while you use this app there is no popup to choose where to download.
There's the option "Download as" but that too, the lazy dev didn't even noticed that there's a but that lets the download start immediately without any popup. You have to stop the download and there it opens the popup.
MENTAL!!!

For me 10001% USELESS as of now, and I VERY DEEPLY resent the dev for this. SHAME ON YOU!!!

I was honestly suprised and amazed of how it actually works for free, respects my privacy, and it's easy to use. Genuinely one of the best extension i've ever discovered below ublock origin of course.

March 2026: Paid version works really well (mp4 and mp3). Definitely worth it!

I've used this addon on a number of popular sites, though I hesitate to name them lest they find some way to banjax this! Trust me, it really, Really works!

A simple and useful little tool.
Delivers precisely on the promise in the title.

It would be nice to have a custom naming option, a "download all" option if multiple videos are identified, or a custom download location for the context menu.

But I'm already thankful for the feature of just identifying the video and providing a convenient download option.

Started slapping a giant QR code on top of every download, became useless
