- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 19822341, 12 hours agoVideo DownloadHelper no longer downloads the audio with the video.
At the beginning of March 2026 it was a hit or miss on if it would find the HLS feed which would include the audio but now at the end of March it never finds the HLS feed just only the M3U8 feed and that doesn't download the audio. - Rated 5 out of 5by Eder Silva, 17 hours agoMuito bom, funciona mesmo bem discreto e intuitivo recomendo muito
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 19820850, 20 hours agoNice, easy-to-use and effective add-on for a wide number of web sites. Totally recommended!
By the way, I haven't noticed anything about the abovementioned $30 quote submitted by another user... ??? - Worked great for years, now suddenly, doesn't work at all. A $30 lifetime prompt with zero guarantees it will work in the future. Here's how it works, $30 bucks later and they switch off the lights and run off to Somalia with the dirty cash. NOPE. Take a sales course. You'll thank me later.
- I used to use this with no problems but today I downloaded about 8 videos I needed to use to make a documentary and I found out it put a huge QR code over the top of every video I dowlonaded making them unusable. So it seems they've now made this extension absolute trash and I've uninstalled it and have to delete these videos and now download them again using youtube to mp4 online. Absolute waste of my time.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Ev1M4chine, 2 days agoNO way to contact the author for bug reports or questions. (Try it.) NO way to configure where it actually stores the downloaded data before it’s copied to the target directory. (Can’t watch the partial download while it’s downloading, for example.) Just does the same thing yt-dlp does with a shittier dumbed-down-to-the-max interface (almost completely unconfigurable and powerless). What is even the point of this? Is this a Windows computer illiterate thing I’m too brain-using to understand?

- Rated 1 out of 5by KnOwlEdge, 2 days agoWhile in the past you could choose ANY folder in your PC as download folder for this app, since a while it forces you to choose either the default Windows Downloads folder or a subfolder of it.
And contrarily to the past, it also COMPLETELY bypasses the Firefox setting to "ask every time", i.e. even if you have this option active in the Firefox settings, while you use this app there is no popup to choose where to download.
There's the option "Download as" but that too, the lazy dev didn't even noticed that there's a but that lets the download start immediately without any popup. You have to stop the download and there it opens the popup.
MENTAL!!!
For me 10001% USELESS as of now, and I VERY DEEPLY resent the dev for this. SHAME ON YOU!!! - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 19819153, 2 days ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by Jomou3ag1ng, 2 days agoI was honestly suprised and amazed of how it actually works for free, respects my privacy, and it's easy to use. Genuinely one of the best extension i've ever discovered below ublock origin of course.
