This review has two parts: The free version review, and the paid (Premium) version review.

The free version is pretty much junk. It takes hours to "convert" a video after downloading (a process they call "aggregation"), and the only reason the program does this is to add their advertising QR code in each and every frame. So, congratulations if you used this, you just spent $.05 in electricity, and a whole bunch of CPU time, adding a commercial to your video. What a useless piece of ****. At least it reliably detects and downloads HD and higher resolution videos (something which the other free converters can't even achieve).

The paid version ($28.50 USD, 18EURO as of this review) is a lifetime license, it works great, it's fast, and it downloads HD+ resolution videos reliably from YouTube. It will also convert on demand, and probably has some other features I haven't explored yet. It's sad that I had to pay money to get a good product, but the programmers gotta put food on the table. If it takes holding people hostage to pay for their software to do it, then that's the choice. Pay up or don't bother installing this add-on.

it is fantastic

This is the best and only download program that does it all for free. Every FLV/MP4/Mpeg4 I want to keep is there for viewing or listening to at a latter non-buffered date is there for me on my hard drive, Nothing compares to this program, I'll suggest this to the novice as well as to the professional. Please keep up the good work and keep it free!!!

I have been using this addon from quite a while and am very pleased as its a very simple,effective and user friendly software for downloading videos.And the best part,it comes for free.

Piece of junk, worthless.

Horrible. I'm not sure what this tool is doing, but it loaded my processor to 70% (20W) when trying to download a 30-minute 360p video. After 10 minutes of this the progress bar was at about 20% when I aborted the video download.

I installed another tool (was quicker and easier to install, starting the download was easier too) which downloaded the same video in 15 seconds!

leider ist der Downloadhelper inzwischen nutzlos geworden. Ich kann nicht mehr erkennen wo er die Sachen speichert, geschweige denn, dass ich es ändern könnte. So unübersichtlich war es früher nicht. Ich werde mir ein anderes Tool suchen......

This app is super easy to use and always works wonders. With it I have been able to download favorite MP3s and MP4s from some of my favorite sites. Also has been great for downloading lectures (audio and video) for school/online learning. I have had it through a number of updates and each time it works great! Highly recommend!

So far working pretty well. Have ocassionaI failed aggregations. try not to get too much going at once. That seems to help some. Very simple to use once the settings are made. Have only tried on a couple file types.

This extension used to be simple, intuitive and great to use, now it is useless garbage. Removing it from my Firefox.

This is downloader is terrible. All of a sudden I am not able to download you tube videos at all and it is affecting two websites I manage I get this message. "Your browser does not currently recognize any video formats available." The help page has no solution. My two websites have the same message for previously working videos. Everything works on Microsoft Edge and Chrome. What gives. I use Firefox Quantum 58.0.2 and I like Firefox but I am about to switch to a working browser if a cannot download videos. dsburgess@durango.net
